JNDSD~ My take~ Saturday 25th February 2017 .. The itchy rash.
In life there are many things that cause us irritation and discomfort. Could be people we cannot see eye to eye with. Rules, regulations and routines can also crawl into our lives and cause unpleasantness. Family responsibilities and commitments can also prickle and make our lives tingle with undue burdens. The episode though deals with the itchy strong almost insane desires of Suman a mother of one of the protagonists in the story. The episode exposes her deeds.. backed by her hankering almost mad craving to get things done the way she wants . In the main she is the usual upper middle class house wife with a normal healthy skin. But as the episode reveals we soon find out that Suman has a chronic burning itch against certain people.. and what's more there are underlying problems to Suman's illness.. so to me such is like a rash that has infected her family..
The power of the sari brigade.. it's not only the males of the household that protect their women.But it's also the nurturing element of the female that pivots into action to safeguard the male. Hence forth when both genders join hands to thwart danger to their survival its seen as a united family in action. The scuffle in the cow pen is a fine such example when blood and relationships stand up for each other. Ravish once again unites with vividha regards madhav's moral teachings. It's as if bringing up the impressionable boy in the right way is a crusade for Ravish .. like he owes it to Atharv , in this loco parentis duty of care.. Vividha disciplines him respectfully but firmly as both parents stand united in instructing the boy. Rather than letting madhav celebrate a win situation, Ravish preaches to him the gospel of non violence, while Vividha severely reprimands her son for trespassing at the neighbours cow pen. Madhav since he was introduced is seen to be the mirror image of Atharv , in what he says and his constant readiness to tackle any injustice as understood by him with a touch but of force. But both Ravish and Vividha strive to deal with the boy's bravado..
How vice crumbles at the touch virtue.. Suman as the evil carnate.. when in contact with anything sacred her body break into rashes.. it like her conscious is gnawed perhaps by the multi fold evil she has literally carried out with the corrupt hands of her sinful evil soul.. Guddi mocks her nothing comes free in life.. perhaps it's the price Suman has to pay for forfeiting her soul to the devil? prickly itchy rash. Suman is not having her minion Guddi making taunts about her.. Guddi can't say much as Suman rescued her from the throes of the funeral pyre! and gave her the desire of her heart ! Raghav /Atharv to have and to hold forever... thus unveils the evil planning ,a catalogue of Suman s plotting.. right from the moment from Guddi's fall.. her pulse slowed ,to the doctors pronouncing her dead! The stealth and remote controlled removal of Guddi's burning corpse! To the restoration of Guddi's charred original face, to present her new look ! all the handiwork of the weak strong frail delicate prim and proper evil queen Suman..
She flaunts the works her evil, itchy hands.. and her cold, calculated callous mind. Her heart was wounded and hence spelt of weakness to her. She thus had put it on the back boiler ages ago ,could do without compassion or mercy.Her mind she taps into planning wicked traps, that already manipulated lives of few to suit her own agenda..yes she did it her way!! Suman confesses, using doctors to buy her outcomes to reach her objectives. Her, mission was to separate Atharv from Vividha for good! For that she boasts before Guddi , she paid her doctor to tell Atharv he had a terminal illness! she very nearly cracked it ,but it was Vividha who threw the spanner in her works and insisted she would marry Atharv regardless !! although Atharv was ready to give her up for her son Ravish. She admits she even hired a sharp shooter to kill Atharv during the circumambulations! But there too , the gods saved him again!!she moaned bitterly!.. seemed the heavens eyed the earth to provide Atharv safety.. she admits before Guddi ,once again she faced the blow of Atharv being in the all clear to unite with Vividha! Suman's evils shoulders as she announces that the reason her plans are foul proof is because she always has a back up plan! Which she puts into action, to stop Atharv's swift healed steps sporting a quickened heart to marry Vividha! Suman is a woman who uses her connections .Strikes liaisons with one who shares the same interests as her.. Kailesh! he is one who clubs, the final blow to Atharv's head! that head ! that brain that she wanted to control! Her hired assailant Kailash got Atharv! Injected him into inaction! Thus not only was stopped, Atharv's marriage to Vividha! but also stood blocked all the roads, that would lead him back to the way things were four years ago! Suman shows off all her wickedness, before her minion Guddi.. but Guddi is a fearful realist, what if Atharv regains his memory what then??but Suman gives Guddi her flashy smile, inwardly self obsessed with her fiendish self confidence.. she is confident nothing will go wrong even if Atharv regains his memory.. as she has given him a new cast! she has moulded him afresh a new man! she is his maker, the controller of Raghav ! Atharv is no more..
Suman too leads two lives.. one as the evil witch ,within herself and the other as the public face.. the deceptive face that is Raghav's benefactor, his mother figure head, who gave a lost soul like himself direction... she rules over his present now and here. Controls his mind by numbing his past with the help of some medication ,uses his wife Guddi to administer her nefarious ways.. is there an end to Suman's ways? Not really.. she is justified in all she did and is going to do in future too.. what would not a mother do to help her son get his love? why is she, the way she is ? is still a big question..
The charitable event?? ill or not Suman follows routines and as usual she turns down Raghav's plea to rest. There is no rest for Suman.. she has to adhere to her hidden agenda, no rash ,itch and fever can stop her from paying Ajmer a visit.. nothing can stop this mother from visiting her son Ravish. So Suman turns up dressed in a white sari, an image of an austere widow, face graced with a pure smile that conceals the gloat in her heart she senses, when she sets eye on her husband's widow Sujata. A widow like her , but unlike her a mother who craves and pines for her son.. Suman flashes a honey drizzled smile at Sujata and muses.. you woman will die by every second you live.. for your Atharv! but you will never hear from him or ever set eyes on him. How can you Sujata ?your Atharv is dead and gone.. seek him all from one corner of the earth if you may.. but you will finds no sign of Atharv .. he is my control.. this then ,is my nemesis I get to see my son Ravish while Sujata frets inside for her son silently .. she cannot even say now she misses him as she has virtually disowned him, ever since he walked out on her and Vividha!
The women of Ajmer , all eye Suman a complete woman surrounded by piety ,respectability ,soft spoken and humble. How her eyes sparkle with the deceptive hypocritical duping in the name of faith. she speaks of her spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage. She celebrates the experience and announces how she understands the power of prayer ..how all that is left in her life now, is unceasing praying for her children.. all especially Vividha , is taken aback by this remarkable pacifying reform that has taken place in the bitter and once caustic to her Suman..
But the big bold eyes of the child Mahdav see's through the guile underneath the pious facade of Suman. He can see into her sinful soul that is tarnished and blackened like soot. Her soul is still restless and soon very soon. The tongues of fire, the great furnace will reduce her to ashes when lord Shiva's third eye opens!
Suman's smile freezes as she senses the presence of righteousness.. she recedes back fearfully.. with a question , is this a pure, unadulterated continuation of the one she has cast a spell on??
The episode is based on FBs of Suman's involvement in her unsuspecting nefarious deeds. Her dangerous deeds are exposed and the impact on Atharv... the surprise Atharv talks about well may be Guddi's and his baby.. does this mean that Suman plans to stay for a bit at Ravish s house?
