JNDSD~ My take Thursday 23rd February 2017 ~ Role reversal?
In life one has to apply various strategies like adapt ,back track, swing ,shift to fit into the phases we come across. One may have to face positional changes in the course of direction, prompted by circumstances beyond one's control. In such instances one may make informed choices which cause an aversion or setback to one's life . This episode then, blatantly points out to the changes that life brings about with the passage of time. Time with its transient nature the one,with permanence about it. Four years ago Vividha took a decision where she readily in sane mind undertakes a stand for her life. That decision dealt a setback to the love of her life. Along with her Ravish to as seen in the episode assumes the role of another person,who is close both to him and Vividha. Does Ravish don his new look ,a role reversal to go through how Atharv felt, perceived and behaved when he was stationed in Ajmer ? Is this fitting into his brother's shoes.. Atharv's life style all to give Vividha happiness? It's not just these characters that have swapped and posted themselves into reversed situation. But it appears by looking at the episode that there has been a shake up in reversed relationships. Two sons have changed maternal figures, even households .The question remains have the sons changed their family name too, in this forced or chosen role reversal??
Four years later..whoever thought he went missing???? The little imp with bold eyes, clambers over high and low ,full on commotion , energy personified ! like lord Shiva.. he thumps, dances, jumps forcefully shaking the very earth beneath his feet! his spirit, his vitality continues in this boy! For when the boy vibrates nothing around him is still. His feet run like the deer and Vividha even now runs after him.. he's ahead! She behind like in the good old days.. catch him if you can Vividha! he has the same fire and life that constitutes Lord Shiva! Mahdav!!!! or Mahadev! The god of gods...
There is no stopping his effervescence ! till he gets to the place , the neighbors cow pen! Vividha scolds him only to be showered with hay.. his young heart loved frolicking about with it! Throwing it at his mothers face playfully! Complete bedlam he creates in the cow pen .. as a bull in cow pen! Despite her admonishment! He only sobers down when he overpowers the back of a buffalo! Perched upon it like its owner.Finally Vividha accosts this full of beans infant! Chides him for trespassing in the neighbor s cowpen. He is witty and smart it was a business move..the idea was to free the cows! As it would give their business a boost, all customers would flock to their dairy farm! Vividha laughs at his sharp.. business sense! Smart like some one she once knew ..he too had a great business sense... a lot of it rubbed off on her..but still her heart best focus on the present. She accepts his business sense and apologizes .. which he flippantly brushes off with attitude and teases, bless you girl! and moves off! Vividha ..feels her heart misses a beat... same dry humour.. still Mahdav is getting big for his boots and he needs a telling off from both parents!
It's the cow pen ,the houses of Ajmer .. cans, pails and a pair of strong hands dealing with milking.. dairy business still running! Nothing has changed except the man in uniform deals not with ammunition now ,but tries his hands at some thing quite different! not just the business but he is family man too. Vividha protests about Mahdav.. from behind the buffaloes looms the tall frame of Ravish.. he is referred to as the lads father.. Vividha and Ravish both seem on the face of it as the boy's parents. Ravish has good bonding with his son..or like a son? Does it matter? The boy and him share the same blood. All this the business ,the family are part of the family legacy. The family must stay united ..no broken homes..were not those the words of the one for whom Ravish now appears as he does? Role reversal for unity rather than partition.Inside the house it's an admixture of positive elements of three families.. majority of women. role reversal here.. A Woman, Vividha is the new breed of breadwinners. She is seen to be a woman who has gained strength, and now with perhaps with her husband Ravish assistance.. makes money, in the workplace, as this household takes on a whole new vibe.. of running a business. Vividha ,perhaps is also in the business of expanding a dream of one .. she held close to her heart..
Wedding anniversary , well its interesting an outsider remembered but not the couple or anyone else.. except Sujata , the woman with a generous and kind heart. She gives to Vividha and her husband Ravish prayers and blessings abundantly with a sincere heart. Ravish reveres her as his mother. Yes Sujata does so..think of as her son. But the 23rd February also is a day when she last spoke to one whom she claims before all she has nothing to do with..
One look at his picture reminds her when he last called her on this very day four years ago... his words mother.. Vividha, wedding! He didn't need to say more she knew his wish.. and as his mother she granted his wish..
Vividha's own hurt revives when she sees Sujata grieve for that traitor, coward! Yes the only way she can get rid of him from every fraction, every fragment of her body ,mind and soul is to loathe Atharv through and through! She tells Sujata he was "a man more sinned against than sinning"[ King Lear].. as he didn't think twice of betraying his own mother! Let alone her.. Vividha's hatred against him is a mere chastisement of banning him from her soul!.. for Atharv still resides there.. hidden from all except her. Sujata's stand for Vividha in getting her married to Ravish is something a mother who truly loves and knows what her son wants could do. Vividha blesses her.. Sujata is to Vividha what Atharv wants her to be a guardian angel that ensures that Ravish gives her eternal happiness. But once she is alone.. Sujata's pines for her beloved son Atharv .. no news from him all these years only means her boy is alive?? She hopes he thinks of her??
New setting gym environment.. Atharv enters in track bottoms and tee.. always loved to let out steam.. works at the Lattissimus dorsi .. broadest back muscle. He uses the Lat pull down.. heaven alone knows how much? and for how long he has carried the weight of the world upon his shoulders! This was the man whose brain was failing him.. now body fitness is his business venture.. into making invincible fit bodies! His motto is no pain no gain.. is that why he gives pain to his heart so he can reach out and gain the highest pinnacles in his relationships of love?
He too has moved on in life.. has a expectant wife and he too has reversed his role into a family now that was out to gun him! One wonders what he is doing with Chintu, who calls him brother? who is Atharv married to..? is he the father to this unborn baby or is he in role of a father?
The final role reversal is the precap.. Atharv has a new name and a new mother.. meet Raghav Suman !
The episode has done my head in!! to the forum members what's happened may appear easy as pie.. but to me.. certainly idioms do come to my mind..like seeing Ravish in the cow pen.. Atharv living with Suman as her son.. as in the shoe on the other foot? Seeing what it was like living in Ajmer.. some form of poetic justice??? Both Suman Sujata exchange their lives to work towards better understanding of each other's past? Especially so Suman ... a situation that can be termed as the tables turning..? roles reversed or placement of adversaries is turned.. to taste each others experience of life...? reverse would mean those in comfort to suffer discomfort now. However keeping my super trio , Vividha ,Atharv, Ravish in mind.I would like to believe that they do turn the tide around.. ok the sort of marriage many of us wanted, never happened.. but all three of them have moved on in life according to their own calling.
Hope remains that the three will meet again.. and the families remain united.. hamlet53 24.2.17
