"I believe we had a confrontation on the cards," she said, realizing that he wanted her to initiate it.

Arnav nodded slightly at her before stopping the car beside the road. He had intentionally chosen a secluded route, knowing that a confrontation was on its way and it seemed ideal to him for it take place on an isolated road rather than anywhere else.

Arnav and Khushi descended from their seat into fresh and welcoming cool breeze which tantalized their senses momentarily and relieve them of their stress by a fraction.

"I know I owe you an apology for leaving without informing you. I could not hold myself any longer," she confessed, her eyes sincere and earnest.

"Don't leave this confrontation mid-way, Khushi. I don't think I will be able to take it if you walk out without completing your thoughts. I don't want to contemplate, anticipate and think of the worst. No matter how bitter it is, I want to listen to the truth from you," he requested, his caramel orbs expressing the love which was far beyond expression.

"I will," she said, meeting his eyes for the first time and taking his nod as the cue to begin.

"You know, in the initial days when I knew that I was attracted to you, I just hated myself and you, for making me love someone who could not be mine and for making me do things I would never do. I was supposed to call you 'Jiju' and believe me, addressing you as 'Jiju' would have been the most difficult task of my life. I love my sister a lot, Arnav. I just wanted her happiness at any cost. I would be ready to die for her. You know, Papa had asked me to promise him once that I would always make sure that she was content and gets whatever she wants.

Fulfilling that promise was not difficult till I met you. It literally changed everything. I wanted to be in her place and when you revealed that it was just a revenge plan, you cannot imagine the pain I felt. On one side, my heart wept for my sister for losing her love and on the other hand, my soul ripped itself for losing itself for someone who broke my sister. And you know what startled me the most? My heart looked at it as a chance to make you mine. Probably no one would have hated you as much as I did and as the saying goes, no one can hate you more than someone who loves you the most. I took it as a saying till I realized that I love you. I love you, Arnav. More than you can think of and more than I can express,"she revealed, letting go of the burden resting on her heart.

Arnav sighed deeply as he took in Khushi's words. The intensity of her words was so high that it could brew storms in heart and needless to say his heart was tempestuous as his mind was turbulent. She had uttered those words which he wanted her to utter from what seemed forever finally and he did not have a reply to suit her confession of love.

He decided, to begin with, what began their love story: his feelings for NK.

"My mother was on her deathbed when she asked me for a promise - to take care of Nk always and ensures that he always gets what he wants. She passed away due to multiple organ failure the next day and I resolved to fulfill that promise at any cost. Like you, it was not that difficult for me to fulfill my promise, not because life was easy but it was because I loved him that much. I was never guilty of doing anything for him till I saw tears in your eyes due to what I did for him. That moment, I regretted my love so deeply that I thought I will never be able to love him again. Trust me Khushi, if I am ready to kill for NK, I am ready to die for you. You mean the world to me," he declared, his eyes smoked due to the pain of the past and voice quivering with vehement love.

"And I was ready to die for my sister, Arnav. But for you, I am ready to kill anyone. I love you," she said, walking towards him and pulling him into her. No one except the one devoid of a hug from their loved one would understand what one simple hug could mean.

"I love you too, love. I am sorry I hurt you so much," he apologized, his voice weary with the guilt he carried in his heart.

She pulled out from their affectionate embrace to cup his face gently with her smooth palm. She said, "I cannot say that I will be able to forget everything, Arnav. I have grown to accept it and I already forgave you for what you did. My love for you won over my hate and will continue to do so till my last breath."

He smiled through his tears; tears which symbolized both ecstasy and pain - a combination which lethally exquisite. Arnav gravitated towards his love, like a moth attracted to the fire, knowing the impending devastation it would wreck but passion outweighing everything else.

His trembling lips captured her luscious, plump lips is gentle kiss, symbolic of their warm love.
Every other thought trickled out of their systems as they lost themselves in each other and the ocean of the love they had for each other. His rough hands encircled her waist and pulled her closer to him, erasing every sign of distance between them while her fingers explored his locks as she pulled him as close as she could. Their touch seemed to burn them, yet neither of them were ready to pull apart. If their passion burned them, they were ready to get burned but not ready to part. After all, they had vowed to stay together, till death do them part.

What began as an irresistible attraction, transitioned through various emotions but finally reached its destination - irresistible love...

Author's Note

The journey of this story has been really beautiful. I really enjoyed writing this story for several reasons because it had a good response and it made me think a lot. It was a complex story and had complex characters. Some incredibly flawed characters, wrong actions, equally wrong reactions and irresistible love, difficult but irresistible to write.

I hope you all have enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. It is a bit disappointing to complete two fictions in the same round but completing stories has always been a matter of pride. Thank you so much for your love and support.
