What happened in 2016? It seems there were so many crappy films made.
All the best this year...
Cheers!

Amen to that. 2017 is important year for Bollywood. It needs double the no. of hits it delivered in 2016 to survive. 😃

agree.
While neither of the three were masterpieces but all three had did justice to their respective genre. While Raaes(6.5/10) was a enjoyable masala flick, Kaabil(7/10) had some solid acting and Jolly LLB2(8/10) is fun movie with repeat value. And it the greatest on screen judge ever born🤣

Considering the industry is becoming increasingly preoccupied with BO collections, that's wishful thinking but hope so, too!

Well 2017 is going to have a Bhardwaj movie and potentially two Motwane movies. Then there is Secret Superstar, an AK production and their movies are quality. Throw in the annual Kashyap and I think its safe to say 2017 will be much better. You can count on these guys to deliver.

Some others to look forward to:
- A Death in the Gunj (Konkona Sen Sharma)
- Raghvan's next with Tabu and Ayushman, its a thriller apparently.
- Dutt. Even if its the usual Hirani fare, it will still be good, just not accurate.
- Begum Jaan.
- Newton (Amit V Masurkar). Stars Rajkumar Rao and has gotten some good reviews from Berlin, where it premiered.

Do we want good films? Or do we want hit films is the question!
Certain films can be both, but it's quite rare. I wish we put quality cinema ahead of just box-office numbers, or at least achieve a good balance.

I am personally looking forward to -
A Death in the Gunj
Trapped
Simran
Secret Superstar 😃

A good balance of both is fine. While I hope this year doesn't disappoint with monotonous films or duds like last year. I think I might be wishing on a star here...
