Since Gauri is from Uttar Pradesh, is anyone from Uttar Pradesh or Uttarakhand origin here? I included Uttarakhand because till 15 years ago, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were one before it got divided. I like the fact that Gauri uses proper Bhojpuri words unlike many shows who does kachra of Bhojpuri by mixing it with Bihari and twisting the language weirdly. Sarojini was another show in which I saw proper Bhojpuri being used. I am from Uttar Pradesh. My mother tongue is Hindi and Bhojpuri. I can hardly speak Bhojpuri but I understand Bhojpuri very well. Is there anyone who has their mother tongue as Bhojpuri?

Juhi I don't know why but I think you are confused
Bihari is not a language, the languages of Bihar are Bhojpuri, Maithili and Magahi

I am from Bihar and my mother language is Bhojpuri although I can't speak it well but I know the language

The language Gauri is using isn't Bhojpuri but Hindi with a few Bhojpuri words scattered here and there

But yes this is better than the so called Bhojpuri they show in movies which is nothing but distorted Hindi or even worse "wa" added at the end of the Hindi words

Di, I thought Bihar's Bhojpuri is only Maithali. UP and Bihar's Bhojpuri is different. I know Gauri speaks Hindi most but her accent and words of Bhojpuri are proper unlike other serials and movies as you said. Yes, we don't use 'ba' and 'wa' in every sentence.

Example: How are you?
To male- Kaisan haya?
To female- Kaisan hayi?
Answer to both- Thik hayi hum?(Not any va or wa)

Is your language similar to mine?😊

Bhojpuri of Bihar n UP are slightly different the conversation you wrote would exactly be the same in my language as well

Not 100% same but definitely more similar to Maithili which is more like Bengali

Maithili is of Mithilanchal region (where Sita ji was from), Magahi from Magadh (land of Chandragupta Maurya and Ashok) and Bhojpuri of the region of Raja Bhoj (kahan Raja Bhoj kahan Gangu Teli waala)
