From the start, we were told that this show was about empowerment of women and phase one was all about that. We saw how Atharv taught Vividha and all the other women how to stand up for themselves and stay strong in their beliefs.
And then phase two came and at times we wondered where that empowered Vividha had gone as sometimes she appeared submissive and weak.
But for the last couple of episodes we've seen once again what Atharv's love has done for Vividha. And today, she stood up against the rest of the family determined to go through her with marriage to Atharv despite everyone else telling her not to marry him. She just made me so proud of her today!
The episode started with Suman complaining to Daadaji about ViTharv's marriage. That woman just does not cease to amaze me! She can see the pain in the eyes of her son for his one-sided love, but she can't see the unconditional love between Vividha and Atharv. She doesn't care about anything or anyone but Ravish. He has to have Vividha because he loves her. Nothing else matters.
And how ironical was it when she called Atharv illegitimate when it's her son who has no legal rights.
And of course Daadaji will do anything for his betaji , even if it means getting Atharv killed.
Atharv is still on his 'Vividha loves Ravish' chant. How he can't see how much Vividha loves him is beyond me. As he stood silently in the hall watching Vividha telling his mum to put mehndi on her hand, he couldn't believe she actually still wanted to go through the marriage. Of course, Vivi has begun to suspect that Atharv is faking his illness. When Sujata told Vivi she couldn't put mehndi on her hand, Vivi straightaway asked her if Atharv had refused to marry her.
In the end, Vivi forced Sujata to put Atharv's name on her hand. How happy did she look! And as Atharv stared at her, wondering if perhaps he was mistaken, Ravish walked in and broke the spell. Seeing his brother brought back all of Athav's doubts.
Vividha asked Ravish to get Atharv dressed and a panicked Atharv refused, insisting that he didn't want to get married. At the mandap, as Vivi sat alone, the pandit told her the muhurrat was ending. Despite asking Sujata to get Atharv, no one moved so Vivi went herself. She was getting married to Atharv and no one was going to stop her!
In the end, Vivi marched into Atharv's room, took his hand and dragged him down to the mandap with a protesting Atharv in her wake. Meanwhile, a shooter hired by Daadaji, hid and took aim to kill Atharv.
In the pre-cap, Atharv refused to do the pheras so Vividha said she will go ahead first. As Atharv argues, Vivi gets shot.
I've been saying for the last couple of episodes how proud of Vivi I am and how much I love her, but today she just made me in awe of her. Her love for Atharv is on another level completely. Atharv loves Vividha just as much, but he stupidly thinks his love is one-sided and wants to give her what he thinks is her happiness. But for Vividha, her happiness is only with Atharv and this time she's going to do everything in her power to get it.
The love these two have is so rare and special. I can't wait to see Vividha slaying Atharv tomorrow!
