Hi guys!I'm a little late with my review for today, been pretty busy.
Let's get into this! #HappyReading
1. Repercussions
After all the crap that went down at the Singhania house, the elders of the family did what they always do - try to not worsen the situation. Bua dadi kept on ranting about apologising and making the situation better. All very annoying. The only one who made any sense today was Bhabhi Maa when she said the only people who're suffering between this battle of one-upmanship are Kartik and Naira. It was truly this that hit hard for Naksh, cause that boy only ever wanted his sister to be happy.
2. Naksh - Naitik : Such feels
I remember after the first leap after Naksh was born and Naitik was in a coma. Naksh was tied to Gayatri Sr's pallu. After Naitik woke up from his coma, Naksh refused to be around Naitik because his father was a stranger to him, a stranger who scared him. From then to this day, where Naksh lay in bed with his father, recounting the day's happenings, taking counsel in his father's words. Even after the Capetown leap, N2 had a very strained relationship. But it was heartwarming to see the father-son duo seeking solace with each other. It was a really strong moment for me - to see them, united.
3. Maafi maango
There is a big difference between earning the apology and forcing the apology. C just wanted to hear the words 'I am sorry' to satisfy his bruised ego. I will address this whole issue in greater detail in my last point. Don't want to waste too much energy on this stupid family.
P.S. C throwing water on Kirti really made me feel sad for her. She knew this was coming. I hope she gathers the strength to walk out of this marriage.
4. Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai?
This marriage will only commence if the Singhania's bow down to our wishes. Since when have relationships become business deals? Can something as sacred as a marriage be subjected to conditions and clauses? I know this is a TV show and the redemption of the Goenka family is going to happen through the catalyst that is Naira, but if this was real life, Naitik would have called off the wedding. A marriage based on conditions and zero respect and regard for his daughter. why should he go through with it?
5. Unspoken questions
Naira just had to utter the words Kartik and he understood the question, no words needed. He didn't have an answer, he didn't know if things were going to improve or if they were going to decline further. The only thing he knew was that there was just one constant in his life - his unwavering love and unflinching devotion towards Naira.
6. Naksh - The MVP
Can we all just agree that Naksh is such a boss?!! I love him. Today's episode belonged to Naksh and Kartik, but for me Naksh was really good. And I'm going to tell you guys why.
What he did was right, he knew it, he was sure of it. But when Bhabhi Maa said that K&N were bearing the brunt of the showdown that had happened, he started to reflect on everything that had happened. It still wasn't wrong, but instead of C being taken to task, it was K&N who were suffering. Did he want that? NO.
Naira raised a very valid point - C was in the wrong, he had touched her inappropriately and her brother was being forced to apologise - where was the justice?
Naksh was still reeling with anger - that stoic expression on his face said it all. He would do it over again, he knew it within his heart. And even when Kartik made it abundantly clear that Naksh didn't need to apologise, his heart was battling his brain. Was that C more important than his dearer than life sister and his brother?
And then, despite K&N advising him against apologising, his heart won out his brain. He landed up at GV and stood in front of C. His face still stoic. He tried to salvage the situation diplomatically. But he realised he was against a wall of ego and his only way out was bowing down. That image of Naksh with folded hands was so impactful - a brother protecting his sister, earlier by throwing in a punch, now by apologising. The reasoning in both places was the same - Naira. He would do anything for her.
He was on his way out when Kartik stopped him and apologised on behalf of his crazy family. Naksh extended his arms and enveloped Kartik in a hug. This same Naksh, who was earlier suspicious of Kartik's intentions when it came to his sister's, that very guy has welcomed Kartik into his inner circle with that hug. He knew Kartik was worth sucking up his ego. He knew this relationship was worth saving. In that moment, he knew he had done the right thing. And it was only then that he relaxed that fierce expression on his face. It was only when he knew Naira would get her happy ending, Kartik would make sure of it, that he made peace with his battling mind and heart.
That's it for today, folks! Adios, amigos!
