Photography isn't the easiest path to choose as a career. While one may be extremely good at it, it's considered more of a 'hobby' and not 'work'. You'd have to create an impressive portfolio and/or get hooked with a major company if you're not capable of doing it as a self-employment. Photography isn't even in demand as much as other jobs. And in India it would be much harder to find a job as a photographer than the majority of other jobs. Just to play devil's advocate, I must say that photography isn't very overrated (as yet), so competition isn't the biggest problem in the field. It also seems like a really fun thing!
