I mean previously when they interacted without Svetlana they seemed to be a decent thread hanging? Jhanvi left Vikram Rana for Tej and they did have a good life. She spent all her beauty, talent, youth on Tej who just sucked the blood out of her. He became a typical man drunk on his success and power. Probably Svetlana entered his life when he was undergoing mid life crisis and he wanted a young PYT on his arm to boost his image and ego. She became his punching bag, blamed her for everything going wrong in his life, including the kids... not listening to him. When did he ever have their best interests at heart or has he ever spoken up for his wife?
When he boasted to Rana, she may have been a prized catch... educated... NKK and all that. He had to prove a point, he was better than Rana. A male peacock strutting about or an ape beating his chest... she was someone to be possessed and displayed.
Jhanvi made him see the reality, did not pander to his ego... became an alcoholic when he committed adultery, stayed with him despite his affair/insult, tried to make a go of their marriage for the kids they had together. As Dadi said, it is easier to break a marriage than to live in it.
Tej's see-saw between Jhanvi and Svetlana only goes to show that he is a man driven by lust/weakness for Svetlana.
