Ranuk.. I would not call his character exactly weak but rather the kind who did not want to fite.. Robbie is different.. You want a fite, robbie would be there any day. He takes instant decisions. He is planning to throw Alana's husband oud, not caring dat that guy is his sister's husband.

The reason he gave the POA to kasturi was that he felt dat his brain was not mentally stable at dat moment, not bec he believed he lacked the capbility to do it no. He thinks he is going through a mental trauma and he doesnt want this 2 effect his buisness.

As far as letting kasturi treat his family like dirt, he does not realize what kasturi is really doing. near him it all appears to be in his family favours. But the day he finds oud kasturi tried to destroy his house, he wouldnt be ready to forgive her easily. He will forgive her for what she did to him, but if she does something against his family, which she really hasnt till yet, he wouldnt let it go easily.

I actually agree with Pragalbha that both men are not weak as they remained faithful to all their other relationships with their families and in-laws.

Today's episode where Robbie had almost realised Kasturi's reality; he had reverted into his aggressive mode of attack. He confronts situations head on but being on the offensive is not necessarily the best defence. However, currently he is ruled by his feelings of remorse over his past mistakes, such as his ill-treatment of Raunak and Kasturi respectively and in turn desires to keep Kasturi happy. Thus, his top priority is to ensure his relationship with Kasturi prospers so he hesitates to do something that may disrupt the so-called harmony he is experiencing.

On the other hand, Raunak's seemingly lack of fighting spirit was not because he had accepted defeat or he preferred others to fight for him. Rather it was just that his method of self-preservation was patience; which was his greatest strength. Instead of striking out in anger he chose to maintain his composure and not react in the manner Robbie desired. Similar to the way one ignores a bully to avoid giving them the satisfaction of knowing their actions are hurtful. His silence was also to protect his loved ones but when he deemed it appropriate he would break his resolve, and answered Robbie's taunts with his own choice words of wisdom. E.g. Raunak's positive response to Robbie's endeavours to create misunderstandings between Raka during the time Kasturi was working for him.

Furthermore, Raunak's efforts to fight off business failure were thwarted by Robbie's sly tactics. He could have fuelled Robbie's vendetta by mirroring his actions but he did not wish to aggravate his suffering, because he did feel slight guilt for Roka's separation.

my thoughts on these two questions is this:

Robbie is suffering from a tremendous amount of guilt. Guilt of wishing Ronauk dead. guilt of not being able to save Ronauk. Guilt of making Ronauk's life hell when he married Kasturi.. All this guilt is defintely eating away at Robbie's heart...and conscience..

Well you could apply the same reasons for Raunak too.. may be he felt guilty of hurting Robbie 😳 He felt bad that he had moved on & his friend was all screwed up and kinda took all of it as punishment

But why i think he isnt weak is cause robbie has signed his POA over cause he's now doubting his mind not his capability or talent.

The guy isn't sure if he is sane, and you think he isn't weak 😆

he isnt backing down from a fight. he feels he's wronged and now he wants to right the wrongs he has committed.. he signed that POA so that he wouldnt loose his company. where Ronauk his reason for not fighting back to protect robbie's wealth or refusing to tell the truth about ajays accident and then just stay in jail, indicated that the character would rather prefer for someone else do the fighting. so thats why i think he's can not be seen in the same light as robbie signing over his POA.

But what about letting Kasturi treat his family like dirt (I am stealing your phrase).😡 Where does that put him as a person?🤢 Why wouldn't he fight aginst that?😕

And I don't think Raunak went to jail coz he was too lazy to fight - the only time he ever gave up was during the divorce talks. He went to jail coz he wanted to save his brother from disgrace & he took the blame on himself. Kasturi made him sign the PoA - both the guys had the same reason - they trusted Kasturi more than anything and wouldn't deny her anything. So why is Robbie the better man for doing it?

but where i think robbie is weak is his luv for kasturi, for he lets kasturi pretty much do anything she wants so yes i would like to say that in this senario robbie and ronauk are absolutely the same...lucky lady kasturi. now the only variable in this is devika, she isnt about to lay down like nadini and lets kasturi win, devika will never go silently into the night without a fight..😆

@all thanks so much for all the well thought out feedback, and i was pleasently surprised that most of you dont feel that ronuak was weak.. but his character wasnt written out to be the strongest either..infact the problem i have with ronuak's character is his preception of always doing wanting to do good for others yet harming them even more so. a costly lesson....and that is what i meant more so by being the weaker character..

@fari i totally agree with your examples and agree with your sentiments as well. the writers really messed with ronauks character and that is why its hard for me not to see him as a weaker character...

@pragalbha, you surprised me the most...i have to say i agree ronuak defintely took care of his own family much better then he did robbie's sisters. and this makes me wonder if his sister was the one that got pregnant would he have liked robbie to interfere and decided what she should or shouldnt do... hmmmm..

I guess I have not understood this debate apart from a few comments that Fari made (well done Fari 👏 )...but knowing you all .....am sure these must have been good points and well thought out by you. 😊

Robzs and anyone who thinks they are weak, can you guys explain why is Raunak weak...if anything then even more than Devika, ...Raunak and Robbie are the strongest characters, who have always got their parts and desire done or met with, by hook or by crook. 😉

If you yourself hold your hand in the fire and then say I am burnt, you cant blame the fire right? I do feel bad for both leading men and the things Kasturi has done to them, but to a large extent they did allow that, and my take is that this allowance on Ra's and Ro's part is not a sign of weakness but a sign denoted by ......(1) unprecedented love and (2) self interest. You can individually figure what parts these both points played for Ra and Ro 😉 😆 😆

Infact in this serial it is Devika and Kaushalya who are the weakest...and weak when it comes to the most important aspects of their existence...their being a mother and a wife....thats the precise reason why Devika has been at the receiving end of her husband, the Singhania's, Raunak, Nikhil and last but not the least her own children, including Robbie. And Kaushalya at the receiving end of her husband, his family and her kids, including Kasturi. But inspite of this obvious weakness, both women have shown grit and determination and an inner resolve to stand and fend for themselves and their undeserving families. 👏👏

Lets not call all the three leading characters RAKARO weak..... 😆 😆 weak people don't put their families and employees lives on fire for thier own personal silences, crudases or fascinations 😆 😆 😆 ....yes self interested and self-possessed people do 😉

hey JW i was hoping you would post🤗 and let me try to further explain myself... okay why i feel ronauk was weak because he let robbie run over him, and ruin him, and didnt bother to retaliate..ronuak choose to stay in jail and let his wife try to figure it all out and save him, sorry that just doesnt cut it for me, furthermore, when he signed over the POA to kasturi i felt he just wanted to wash his hands of the whole mess and didnt want to deal with it..again proving what i define as weakness. hope i clarified what i was trying to say😳

Felt you were a little hard on devika 😆 but i see your point but again cause devika never stops fighting thats my definition of a strong character.. regardless if she's loosing the battle for her its never to late to win😉

hey nooooooooooo....in fact I am in awe of Devika, and you know that....

I didnt use the word weak in her case in a negative sense,....what I meant was that people love to sling mud at Devika....but it takes guts and determination to fight a hopeless battle...the only point is that when Devika loses ...its not because she can't fight back ...its because she gets defeated as a mother and due to her weakness called a mother's love....

Bolna bahut aasan hai...we can't always blame the parents, can we? For there are many things that mould us, including our friends, teachers, peers etc. Did Devika deserve a daughter like Divya who puts herself in a spot...did Devika deserve a child like Alaana who only thinks of her husband and herself...did Devika deserve a child like Ariv who God alone knows is on which trip...did Devika deserve a husband like Puru who is quick to slap her but has not once offered a sign of help....and does Devika deserve love smitten kids like Shivani and Robbie who left their house and businesses respectively for a love that frankly was never waiting for them.

Please dont think otherwise ....I dislike Devika's negative traits but honestly, like I have always said, a known devil is better than an unknown God...Its not easy fighting on all fronts, i.e. keep a business running successfully, earn monies for the whims and fancies of two families coz there is no evidence that Sabharwal-Singhania's had any other business apart from exploiting the singing talent of Mr Robbie, nurture a singing talent, sponsor educations, put up with a husband that does not care and still be on tops. 😊

Singhanias, Chawlas and Nikhil should be happy that Devika gives in ultimately to her kids, as that is her only weakness ...else for watever be the reason...anyone who would have messed with Shivani & kept her away for years from her family, influenced Divya to do an abortion without telling her own mother, put Robbie's life in jeopardy, two timed Alaana...would by now have been behind bars or out of this planet. Ultimately, Singhanias, Chawlas and Nikhil got their way done and came away with it because Devika let them get away....else today would have been a different story.
