After that day out Maan is little disturbed and is not abe to concentrate in his work properly...

He is reminded of Geet's smile and the glitter in her honest eyes that never fades even in the crunchiest of situations that keeps her going no matter what happens, her fighting spirits even though she keeps nagging him with her complaints that she keeps inventing now and then, and the positive energy that she carries along and even Maan's egoist mood swings are no match for that...

She has made him rethink about some of his strong notions that he had garnered with his own personnel experiences...she doesn't fit into any existing fundas of life and she is different on her own with her very own fundas of life and definitely one of a kind that Maan has never come across...

Maan doesn't understand why he is giving so much importance to her and is puzzled why he has to keep thinking about her and try and understand each and every act of her...he is confused as to why he couldn't get rid of her thoughts and why his mind always keeps roaming around her constantly analyzing her acts and seeking more and more information about her...maybe she is the strangest specimen he has ever seen and hence he is a little curious to know about this new species...

Maan unknowingly starts to look for her KM visits and she has actually entered his life with such ease that he doesn't even realize that someone has actually invaded his lonely world and made inroads already...

He is often seen in the mansion and that is a good sign...he pops in to say hallo to Dadi once in a while and Dadi is sure that he is here for some other reason...he hoped to meet someone else instead...

He knew Geet would come to meet dadi. Even though he knew that she is a stupid girl, who doesn't even have control over her mind and acts, not worth of anything good, he couldn't deny the fact her entry has brough back the smile on dadi's face and she has become dadi's pet now...

Strangely Dadi has stopped worrying about Maan's marriage these days and Maan is thankful to Geet for keeping Dadi out of his marriage worries and instead dwell in those temporary moments of joy and happiness whenever she is with Geet...but Geet irritates him and her acts keep him under pressure constantly...he is just tolerating her for Dadi's sake...haina?

Poor Maan, Dadi has not dropped his wedding plans as Maan thinks but is working with all dedication to ring the wedding bells very soon...

Dadi could never forget what happened to her family and how it has shattered MSK's life beyond recovery...her only hope now is Geet...and she knows that this time she is going to hit the bull's eye 200%

Dadi was worried that Maan would ruin himself after he shut himself up inside his own world b'coz of the happenings around him which were alien to his nature...due to those unfortunate events Maan lost his faith in marriage and his respect for women...

It all started with the wedding that Dadi thought would complete her family that missed Maan's parents and that it would help Maan and Dev get a family of their own...a bigger better family...'

After their parents demise Dadi and Dadaji became their parents and they never complained about their loss for they never felt the loss...

After dadaji too left them Dadi felt she is lacking a support and thought that a marriage would do the trick...she was in a hurry when she hastily fixed the wedding of her potha with Naintara without even giving a thought...

As soon as the proposal came thru a very loyal well-wisher of the Khorana's, a very long friend of the Kuranas dadi was so happy and didn't have any second thiguhts what so ever. dadi couldn't resist that chance when she got to know that they are one of khurana ji's old pals and they were doing business with KC during the initial stages and were very supportive in building KC and bringing it to this place...

Everyone was happy, specially Dev who was still in college and looked forward to the family celebrations after a long gap...there are these official parties but nothing like a brother's wedding, haina?

Maan was just happy to see dadi and his family happy and never bothered much about it...

It was a royal wedding as Dadi wanted her badi nahu to have a Queen's reception...that is where Dadi erred, she made her bahu the queen of her family and forgot that it's not that wise to give all the powers to someone from outside the family though she is part of the family now...she took the rights into her hands and started using it against the family members...

Seeing the situation Dadi sent Dev out of the country to presume his studies and tried her best to save the marriage which was the biggest mistake of her life...

Maan was not aware of the happenings at home as Dadi cleverly kept things out of his reach fearing further trouble...but Maan returned home after completing all his studies and it took just a week for him to find out that all is not well at KM...he tries to find out the truth from dadi but Dadi didn't wanted to bother him also, she just told him that there is some minor issues between his brother elder Vicky and his wife and it's better to leave it to them to solve it, and she also advised Maan not to interfere in their problems and shifted him to the OH completely excluding him from the issue just to protect him...

Maan felt being left out and as we know built a shell of his own and resided there. Vicky too wanted to sgield his brother from the poisonous deeds and thoughts of his wife and so tried to stay away from his brothers so that his wife can't reach them and trouble them too...

But one day his brother came to OH to meet Maan...Man was surprised...

Vicky: Maan

Maan: bhai aap? yahan?

Vicky: why? You didn't expect me?

Maan: no, what do you want? If you wish I will leave KM

Maan is always open with his thoughts...

Vicky: what? no Maan

Maan: but I would leave in the morning, Is it OK with you?

Vicky: Maan

Vicky breaks down and goes and hugs Maan and cries like a little baby...

Maan is surprised and didn't know what to do...

Vicky: I just want a break, I can't do this, I'm tired, can I stay with you?

Maan is shattered, he didn't expect this from his elder brother who is amost like a father figure for him, but this man has surrendered and is looking for Maan's support...

Maan: of couse bhai

Maan lets his brother stay in the OH...dadi meanwhile tried to resolve the dispute between the couple and asked Vicky to return to the mansion...but he refused and Maan felt that maybe he needs some time to think about his life and he supports Vicky...

Dadi thought that the two were immature and were making the situation worse...

Maan asked dadi to give Vicky some time and Maan found out how Naintara has been controlling the whole of KC not even bothering about dadi and not respecting her, and this made Vicky helpless and he hated to give up his self-esteem, specially the respect of his family, dadi and brothers...

Now that Maan is here she feels insecure and is trying hard to evict Maan as she found out easily that Maan is not someone to budge and take her orders like Vicky...she wants to be the boss of the Khuranas forever...

Vicky told Maan that he was fed up with his life and was ready to quit...

Maan wanted him to divorce her but he feared about family reputation and Dadi still had hopes in the marriage...she asked them to wait for sometime...

Naintara was not happy with Vicky separating from her and staying with his brother...he made a drama of killing herself if Vicky didn't come back to KM...after Dadi pleaded Vicky went back never to return...he ended his life trying to save his brothers future...

Maan then ousted Naintara and vowed a revenge but Dadi stopped him then too...they are the Khuranas, you know...

This left Maan with a permanat wound that he is painstakingly keeping afresh not letting it to heal and that is slowly ruining him from inside...he lost trust and faith in marriage and particularly women, he couldn't save Vicky and for that matter he is still angry with Dadi...had she not kept him away he would have saved him...

While Maan lost faith in women all together dev on the other hand is skeptical about getting into a relationship and just wants to enjoy his life as a playboy...

He is happy with his family , dadi and Maan are the world to him and he is pampered like a kid even now...both of them would do anything to see him happy and he wants to keep them happy, you know, that's why he had not taken up any responsibility and is living a carefree life...

Dadi is worried about that too, she wants Dev to be more serious about life and grow up into a man soon...he has to shoulder the responsibility of his family soon...obviously after Maan it's his number only on dadi's hit list...

Dev is easy going and it's not so difficult to find a suitable match for him...he is little boyish and playfull but that doesn't matter for his better half can mould him into a fine gentle man as per her wishes...

The probem is with Maan who has moulded himself into this arrogant insensitive self that Dadi needs to be very carefull to find a right match for him, and Get seems to a perfect spoil for his character and is like his altar ego ...this is an interesting fight with Maan fighting an equal opponent in Geet...

That's what dadi's thinks but what about Maan himself...what does he wish about his future...

Now he doesn't want to bring another woman in his life and put Dev in trouble, he has decided that he would stay happy on his own and just wants to see his Dev happy...he would be his brother's savior...and this time he is very carefull in choosing Dev's partner...he wants to make sure Dev doesn't suffer like Vicky...

Maan is in a hunt for Dev's bride now...maybe that's why he is interested in Geet?

He has been talking with his distant uncle one Mr.Khanna regarding this and he has promised to find a suitable girl, Maan has a few conditions, the girl must be from a humble family and know to respect the family values and it's members...he is very particular that dadi is always the boss of the khuranas no matter what...

And dadi seems to be liking Geet and Geet too gives so much respect to dadi and takes care of her so well...haina?

This is Maan's wish...and dev is not a matter at all as he always looks up to Maan for anything and everything ...he is just following his brother's foot steps and has not given a thought about marriage seriously yet...

If Maan has something planned for him he will naturally obligue and will be more than happy to do anything for Maan...

No one is worried about poor Geet though...what's her wish?

Part - 13

Geet is still frustrated that her case has not progressed at all and she blames herself for getting distracted from her mission and losing that fire to fight, she knows why she is here and what she has to do, she is helpless for she has no one to guide her not even someone with whom she could share her pain and look for support. But that's not a problem for she knows that it's her fight and she will do it on her own. She knows this is only a start and if she becomes weak and keeps looking for support then she can never reach her goal.

But after meeting Dadi she learnt a lot and she has taken the confidence from Dadi's life. Now she knows that it's nothing like women are great or men are strong, it's only when they support each other they become a force to reckon, if women like Dadi are empowered b'coz of their will and a little encouragement form the men around. Likewise men are wild only when they are left on their own and if women are strong they can mend their mistakes and show them the right path.

Geet strongly beieves that if she wants a change in her community it's in the hands of the women who need to stand up and fight for their rights and also try to make the men realize the fact that their khaps have got no rights to interfere in individuals rights and they can't take the law into their hands as and when they wish. There is the law of the land to take care of the society and work for the welfare of it's people. They should accept the law and abide by it or they should know for a fact that they'll be penalized for any wrong doing. They should come out of their myth that the law is in the hands of the officer at their village policestation and better be enlightened to the true face of law and order prevailing in our country. Once they know that they are not Gods anymore and people are not scared to seek the help of law against them and that they will have to heavily pay for their every deed then they will become powerless.

Geet has got to meet this Khanna first...

She decides that it's no use going to his office and waiting endlessly for he seldom comes to office. Only his juniors are seen discussing and they keep saying that it's not easy to meet Khanna and that she should wait for her trun until she gets a call from him. They have filed her case and sent to his notice and he would call at the right time.

Geet has got the information that he is coming to court for a case that day and she goes there to meet for him. She waits for him until he finishes his job and is really impressed by his records. He has never failed a case and most of his clients are rich and affluent and they pay him whatever he wants. But he also takes exceptional cases like her's if he likes and he believes in the case himself.

Geet is happy to see the public prosecutor standing helpless and being shrunk into a mere spectator when Mr.Khanna is in court. She is confident that he can help her.

She waits in the corridor and as soon as Khanna comes she runs after him...

Geet: sir excuse me sir

He turns back and looks at her racing towards him...

Khanna: relax MS

Geet: Geet, Geet Handa from Hoshiarpur, woh Mr.kumar, your jr

He is right behind...

Kumar: what are you doing here?

Geet: halo Kumar ji

Kumar: come to the office later

He tries to send her while Mr.Khanna stops him...

Khanna looks at Kumar...: Kumar, let her speak

Kumar steps back...

Khanna: I would like to hear the case from her personally

Mr.Kumar then takes a leave...

Geet: thank you sir

Khanna: it's good that you came to me, you can't trust these useless fellows

He mentions his juniors...Geet also thinks he is right...

Khanna: so you come and meet me at my residence

He gives a card to Geet...

Geet: thanks sir, when can I come

Khanna: anytime is good, are you free now?

Geet blinks...

Knanna: just kidding, I'm free tomorrow

Geet: OK sir, done

Khanna: if you like I can drop you

Just then someone enters ...: oh no, you need not worry

Khanna looks up and his face tirns red...: Maan!!

Maan comes and catches hold of Geet's hand...

Geet tries to free herself...: stop it, what are you doing?

Maan stares her...:what are you doing first of all?

Khanna: let her go, she's my client

Maan: it's none of your business, she's is not your client, understood

Maan dares him and makes his point clear with his stern look that scares Mr.Khanna...

Geet is shocked...she's furious...what does this man think of himself?

Maan then drags her to his car...he pushes her in and shuts the door in such a fury that Geet almost had a narrow escape...only her duppatta is caught in the door...

She tries to open and get out when Maan opens and throws her cloth in and slams the door back to Geet's astonishment...

She is frozen in fear and anger...this guy looks like a real gunda...she's right...poor Dadi doesn't know this side of her favorite potha...

Geet bends down and takes that card that Khanna gave...she hurriedly tries to put it in her bag safely but Maan has noticed it...

Maan turns to her and stares...he stretches his hands and asks that card...but Geet is not ready to give it to him...she tries to revolt...

Geet: as you say this is none of your business

Maan loses his cool and tries to snatch it from her...

Geet takes it back...maan gets a hold and he forcefully gets it...

He looks at the card and his anger raises...he tears it into bits and dumps it...

Geet is also angry...he can't do it...who is he to interfere? Who gave him the rights?

Geet: ye teek nahi hai

Maan doesn't care about what she said...

Maan starts driving crazily and he is keeping silent...he is too angry to utter a word...

Geet too doesn't want to speak with him, it's no use speaking with him anyhow...'

Geet is suspicious and she is confused as the car is heading into the suburbs...

She is a little scared now...what is he upto?

Geet: stop the car

Maan is not in a mood to listen...

Geet: stop or I'll jump

Maan locks the doors...

Geet tries hard to open and she keeps hitting the glass...

Maan is least bothered...

Geet tries to take out her mobile but Maan takes that too...

She somehow gets it from him...

Geet: I'm calling dadi

Maan stops the car and turns towards her...he looks into her eyes...:come on go ahead

Geet tries to dial while Maan snatches the mobile from her...

Geet: give it back

But Maan put that in his right pant pocket...he then keeps driving fatser and faster...

She is really pissed off...this man is really crazy...

Geet: where are you taking me?

Maan isn't going to answer her silly questions...

They reach some place and it looks like some lonely house...

Maan blows the horn thrice and as if it's some signal the security comes running and opens the door...

Geet tries to break open the door meanwhile, she is agitated and she looks at the security for some help...

But he doesn't mind as if he is used to it and he dedicatetedly closes and locks the gate...

Maan drives further in and the car stops...

Geet has become pale as it's dusk and the place is dimly lit...

Maan unlocks and gets out...

Geet is still clinching to her seat...

Maan comes over to her help...he opens the door and waits for her to step out...

Maan: what are you waiting for?

Geet stares him...

Maan: oh you are waiting for Mr.Khanna?

Geet: what do you want?

Maan: now call him. You might have his no, or may I give you the number

Maan gives her mobile back...

Geet gets it and hastily tries calling Dadi...but no use...no network or the networks are jammed...

Geet gets scared...she has to act fast...she is thinking of running...

She then gets out and starts running...

Maan stands back and watches her...

Maan: there is no escape Geet

Maan steps towards her...she comes across a luxurious guest house of sorts...

She avoids it and runs to the side only to find a swimming pool...there is no other way and Geet can't take a U-turn...Maan is coming that way...

Maan: stop Geet, come back, don't run, there's no way there, listen to me, come back Geet

Geet is stuck...she prays to her babaji to save her from this demon...

Not knowing what to do she decides to do a padmini stunt...she plunges into the water knowing very well that she can't swim and that's OK for her than to face that monster...

Amazing update. Geet went to court to meet Mr Khanna. He invited her to come to his residence to discuss about case. Maan came there. He is furious and he dragged Geet with him. They reached to a lonely house in suburbs. Geet is afraid of him and jumped into swimming pool to save herself.
