She might have unintentionally caused someone's death (due to some to accident) and perhaps, played a role in dusting the crime under the carpet. She might have been made to believe or mistakenly believed herself that she's responsible for it when in reality it could have been someone else while she was just a pawn or had to play a part owing to whatever the circumstances could have been.</font>

@the topic: wow! seriously Maya's past seems too intense and I think now it's high time that they start revealing it to us, or may be they want the wedding to happen first before the past is revealed...from what Ashwin said, a crime is obvious and what other crime would be that that could lead to such long imprisonment if not murder and like everyone said, even if it was a murder, Maya was a child then...she would have been sent to Juvenile not to the jail😕
