...And the Reason is You
Its been a week since Maan bought Geet back to their home , but Geet was still emotionally numb . She hardly reacted to anything .Maan came back and saw her looking out , he went to her and hugged her but she stiffened , Maan sensing that backed off .
"I am sorry , "she said in a meek voice ."Its okay dear you can take your time to recover a lot has happened with you and I could do nothing to protect you . I am sorry I failed you Geet ", he said dejected , but Geet cut him,"Don't apologize anymore Maan , I just need time you're not at fault here , it was my misjudgment that has led to this ". "No one is at fault Geet even I could not believe as he looked just like me anyone could have mistaken ", He tried to console her . "Anyone ...but I am your wife , how can I ...", she left it incomplete . Maan understood her dilemma so he asked her to rest . Geet though nodded was not able to think how could she fall for another person, was her love for Maan not deep enough or was it...she shuddered thinking about that possibility but it was time to accept the truth, the man she has been with Yash not once did he force her , whatever happened between them was on her accord, she was searching for Maan in him, the care which she desired from Maan, she got from him which made her heart and mind blind and she gave herself to man whom she thought to be her love. He wasn't the only one to be blamed but will she able to accept it in front of her husband, a man who has been denied love all his life what will be his reaction, will he forgive her. She recalled the fateful day when she recovered but still had gone far enough with another person.
Flashback
It was one of their dates, Yash had arranged everything at a restaurant near the Eiffel Tower.In this month they have came closer and Yash had decided to ask her for marriage. He had proposed her and she accepted. She did thought of the situation similar, her thoughts wandering to her last day with Maan. She was overwhelmed by his love and affection and when they got home she kissed him, the things got out of their control and both ended up making out and that is when she uttered the name which had been in buried deep in her heart and now her mind recognized the same and she called Maan. She opened her eyes to see another man in front of her, and that is how Maan found them.
Present
She cried thinking about everything, thinking she betrayed her husband. She did not know , Maan did realize this the moment he got to the whole fiasco, his wife only went to the other man, not only because, he looked liked him but somewhere his care made her go that way too, but he did not say anything in front of Geet as he was determined to make everything right for them .
Unknown to Geet someone was watching all this from the other room , and was feeling more guilty , but decided will do anything to undo that . "Did you see what you have done to my wife "."I am sorry , I will do anything to see her happy ,"Yash spoke dejected. "You sure you can do what we talked about , the other day, I would still ask to you reconsider ", Maan inquired . They recalled what they talked in the hospital before Geet regained consciousness.
Flashback
Maan was worriedly waiting outside for his Geet to regain consciousness. The doctors were trying their best, but there was no avail. He got a call from Sara and narrated everything, she asked him to calm down and she would call him later. "What are you doing here", Maan roared enraged to see Yash there. "I...I just wanted to...", He tried but was interrupted by Maan, "Whatever you have done, isn't it enough. I could have filed a molestation case against you if I wanted, but consider yourself lucky". "I did not know she was married I'm sorr..", Yash tried to say but Maan held out his hand to ask him to stop. Maan took a sharp breath trying to calm himself down," Look I don't know what you and your sister are cooking , I know she did all this to exact revenge from me but please now I don't want to hear anything now, please leave". "My sister did such a thing to exact revenge," Yash was shocked at this. "You don't know", Maan asked amused.
Yash nodded negatively, "She told me that some people are there after Geet, and...", He stopped and now joined all the dots together. "How could I trust her...after all she has done...", He cried thinking breaking down. "What have I done, it's all my fault", He repeated insanely. Maan could see his own past coming in front of him in the form of this young man's agony. Before he could say something, he again got a call from Sara, "Maan , where are you". "I'm at the hospital", He told. "Listen, you said that boy looks like you, is it true", She asked to reconfirm. "Yes, he is here, he is ashamed of his mistake", Maan said. "I want you to ask him to help us", She told making Maan shocked. "What...Sara, he is just a boy...I can't plunge him in the same darkness that I'm in that too when I know it wasn't his mistake, the doctor told everything about him, he is not a bad person and he hasn't deflowered Geet, it was all a big mistake. I'm not asking him", Maan hesitated. "So do you want those people to kill you and Geet", She said. Maan turned to the boy to find him missing, he went out and was shocked to see him walking on the roads. He was almost going to be run over by a truck , when Maan saved him. "Are you insane, you could have been killed , just forget about everything and go home", Maan yelled. "I will do anything please I can't live with this guilt", Yash broke down. "Alright, then but do remember what I'm going to ask of you is not easy, it can be a risk to your life as well as your existence", Maan said. Yash was confused hearing him but still he asked, "What is it, I will do anything". Maan narrated everything and said, "Give it a thought before accepting, you are very young for such a life, I have lost mine that is why I would like you to think about everything before saying yes to what I have said".
Yash thought for a while then taking out his phone he called someone, "Hello uncle". The older man on the other side was very happy hearing his voice, "Yash, how are you son. You did not call at all in the past months". "Uncle, I need a favor", He said. "What is it dear", The older man asked fondly. "Can you please delay my taking over of the company", He asked. This made the older man ask, "...But Yash you know you are already coming of age I have delayed it till now but the clients and staff want to meet you...after the death of Harsh and Jia , it belongs to you they asked me to take care as your sister...", He stopped knowing that he did not know the truth of his sister not knowing what his sister got him into. "Uncle, I know all that but please it is my request and also do not reveal my face until I take over the empire", Yash said. Mr Sharma , his uncle was now shocked, "...What happened Yash are you in trouble dear, please tell me ...". "Uncle I can't tell you anything, please just trust me ...I will be back and tell you , please until then", Yash pleaded. The older man sighed and agreed. Yash looked at Maan, "I agree to everything you asked me of". Maan nodded, "Alright then, you will come to India after three days when I get back with her". Yash agreed to the proposition knowing it is dangerous but how much he had no idea of , nevertheless agreed for undoing the damage he has done while Maan was still wary about the young man, he did not want his life endangered but the determination this young man had impressed him so he agreed .

"Geet is like this because I ...", he could not even complete thinking about his shameful act . "I know what you did, but I have some other plans for you , so are you ready ". "I am ...I can do anything for Geet I can die for her ", Yash said . "Hmm ...well we don't want you to die but can you kill for her ", he was startled by a female voice this time . He turned around only to see a strikingly beautiful girl standing in front of him , she was dressed in black though she was pretty but her eyes were devoid of any emotion .
"You can admire me later ," she said sarcastically , "Now answer my question , can you kill for Geet , you claim to love her don't you ". "Who r you ?", he looked at Maan for answers . "She is my best friend Sara , she will help you if you agree , I have to protect Geet so I can't go on doing what I thought earlier so will you help us "."I will , I disgust that sister of mine she never saw me like a brother and after hearing her deeds I loath her I will do anything to undo the damage I have done to Geet and you ", he was determined . "Hmm, I really found some interesting information about you, Mr Yash Singhania, the sole heir to the Singhania empire in Austria , son of Harsh and Isha Singhania. Your mom died due to a serious illness and because of you yearning for a mother's love, you father married again to a widow Jia Sharma, the mother of Alisha. You found mother's love but your parents died leaving you with the huge empire which your uncle is currently managing. You are brilliant in academics and have completed your studies at such a young age quiet impressive but I got a really striking feature in your biography", Sara finished. "What is it Sara", Maan asked curiously. "Mr Singhania has been blessed with a photographic memory, he can memorize anything just by looking at it, am I right", She said looking at Yash who nodded. "How do you know", Yash asked. "I know some more things about you...but well we will talk about that later. Maan we can trust this boy", She said. "Sara but...", Maan tried but he was stopped by Sara, "Just trust me now okay, I promise no harm will come to you or Geet". On seeing him silent she added, "And the two of us too happy". He nodded, "If you say so".
Sara turned to Yash ,"So for beginners , use these ".Sara handed him a small box . "What is this ", he opened it to see a pair of contacts . "Your eyes they are different from my friend , if you have to become him we have to make you perfect ". "But how will that matter. Brown and black are not much of a difference ", he was confused . "The people we are dealing with are not some people who are unknown but people who have known him for their life your one mistake and you will be caught , I'm asking you again , are you ready "."Yes I am ", he said putting on the contacts ."Good , then lets begin .You should go check on Geet , "Sara said to Maan . Maan hugged his best friend she was the only one who he can trust . "Don't worry Maan , now nothing will come in between you and Geet , I assure you, now go , "she said knowing her best friend's emotional state . "Thank you Sara , I can only trust you , I wish I had trusted you earlier , I would not have been in this situation "."I am happy Maan that now you have understood and if this guy helps us our plan will work ". "Take care of yourself ", Maan said to his friend knowing what they are dealing with . "I will ", Sara assured .
As soon as Maan left she turned her gaze towards Yash . "Well lets begin shall we ". "What do I have to do ", he asked unsure. The girl looked at him and suddenly she was behind him , a knife pointed to his neck , "We have to work on taking emotions out of you , especially this fear," she said in the same cold tone ."Maan Singh Khurana is a fearless man , if you are so scared then you will be caught at the first day itself,". The next moment he was pushed down to a chair with Sara towering him ."Now lets see what you can really do for your love for Geet ", saying this she used the knife to tear down his shirt . "What are you doing , leave me "."For a man who laid his hands on another man's wife you sure are shy , well I'm not going to molest you or anything , like you sister once tried to but lucky you was saved by your mom and still the fool you are you trusted her story, but the ladies whom we are dealing with might try their ways with you , even your biggest fear that step sister of yours, are you ready for that .". Yash was horrified with this piece of information but nevertheless he won't back off now even if it kills him . "I will do whatever you ask of me .""Good so now I'm training you in martial arts , I'm training you to become a perfect assassin like me ".
Maan entered his room only to see Geet sitting by the window still crying, he was by her side in an instant. He picked her up and made her sit on his lap.
Geet hugged him and cried letting out all her fears insecurities everything. "I'm really sorry Maan , it wasn't his but my fault too, I was the one who...He never forced me, he was not wrong ...I betrayed yo..."She kept blabbing but was stopped by Maan, who wiped her tears and kissed her forehead, her eyes and her cheeks, "Geet, I know what you have been going through, and I know that but Geet I never gave you anything pleasant to remember...", He was interrupted by Geet who nodded in negative , "No Maan it was my mis...".
"No Geet please let me complete, I have realized many things in your absence, you were drugged Geet and in that state it wasn't your or his mistake. In your drugged state I realized the pain I gave you has engraved so deep in your mind, and I will try my best to get it replaced with beautiful memories, so you can never forget the good times we had, so please let us forget everything and start afresh, we have enough tears but now we should forget that and look ahead for happiness which will ensue in our lives. I will try to give you many happy memories so you can never be sad by what happened in the past but always look ahead to a beautiful future. Will you give me that chance again", He smiled. Geet wiped her tears and nodded, "Yes Maan, I'm really glad, I got married to you anyone in your place could have doubted me, but you never did. Thank you Maan". "Hmm... Geet, you know, you are looking like Rudolph ,with that red nose,"Maan teased her. "Hawww Maan you are making fun of me, fine I won't talk to you", She pouted turning her face to the other side.
"Aww, so my cute wife is angry, and here I cooked the Indian cuisine for her guess I will have the Paneer butter masala myself ", Maan smiled looking at Geet. Geet's tummy grumbled and she looked at Maan cutely glaring, "I'm still waiting for my apology". Maan pulled her up and tickled her making her laugh. "Okay okay I give up, now let us have diner",She said smiling, kissing him on the cheek making her way to the dining room thinking of their new life ahead while Maan was thinking of how to get their plan into action.
