Our lives are muddled up by many a sticky situations, where when be step back and take a look, either we have knowing or unknowingly impinged upon some ones way of life in thought ,word or action. Like wise our lives too may be invaded by events caused by another's deed or word. To my mind this episode is about characters in conflict due to the pressure caused by direct or indirect encroachment . this infringement of personal space and peace of mind , can be seen as an allowed positive and negative advancement, with expected after effects peace or war, harmony or discord?
Kailesh's entry into Vividha room is an encroachment into her an enclosure privy to her. Not only that he is an overly controlling parent who in my opinion surpasses the rights and duties parents have over their off springs. This father imposes his will upon his daughters choices.
Atharva in his cow pen personalized enclosure sits encroached by dubious thoughts that cloud his mind of what to think and what not to? about the day to day normal messages Vividha sends out as to what really goes inside her mind ? it robs him of and encroaches the very peace of his soul. Her rejection first and then willingness to marry him.. with an evident intrusion by Ravish's name , her photos with him.. her offering prayers for Ravish s happiness infringes upon his trust on Vividha's love.. he yearns to be free of such encroachment! aspires for the peace of his love for Vividha. He seems to veer off, the road to their destiny. Yet some where her pleas depart not from my soul ,instead they advances through to his soul which only repeats her pleas.. yes depart not from my heart! She cries wish he had spoken to her.. more like listened to her side of the story rather than allowing his mind to be encroached by dubious thoughts..
Constructive encroachment ..an invite into his privacy.. right from the cow pen Atharva s words echo his very lifestyle the way he is and the way he works.. pure, clean, unadulterated by societal superficiality, , down to earth. His mannerisms free from guile and deceit. In short with Atharva you see what you get! Atharva Sujata a high flyer at academics , chooses to use his potential upon home territory, warding off the intrusion of fulfilling dream abroad .Prefers to be the source of creating jobs for his people. Set up his own empire, be his own boss work with and for his people .He allows this encroachment of his private life, to convey to the world, via the interview that he takes pride in his job.. tell the reporter, if one can consume milk then what's the issue in milking a cow? to set up an honest living, in actual fact he actually challenges KK, who treated him as a menial handy man in a menial job! Unfit for his daughter!
Furthermore , to me, Atharva allows intrusion into his personal life by the press.. with the view to express his mindset through the electronic medium , with a clear message that breaches the attitudes of society where single mothers are frowned upon and their children rejected as fatherless trash. He also flaunts the turning away from the boons of nature, and irreverence of the scriptures , wherein the cow is a revered animal. Furthermore to me, he elevates the role of animals when he says treat animals with respect , they understand sentiments better than humans! Gungun for me stand's for Sujata a symbol for purity , strength , provider of ongoing substance , and cow milk's is considered a nutritious fluid rich in proteins, fats, lactose and vitamins produced by a woman and other female mammal to feed their young. His message to the world , that like the cow Gungun provides nourishment to the community that Atharvais within, similarly his mother Sujata is his constant source of sustenance for him. That this cowshed forms the legacy of his existence and by working in the dairy industry he wishes to follow up the inheritance his mother gave him . Atharva Sujata glows with vibrancy of the god he worships, lord Shiva! the business raw material is the blessed boon from nature , Milk ,curd are diary products used in bathing the Shivling..Atharva encroached by reporter, wanting to know more about his mind set, was he not tempted to go into becoming an actor ,model... seeing he has the looks for it, where there's big money ..why dairy business? Positive intrusion by Vividha, who replies in his favour.. but money is not what the man is after he's about giving back to his own people and his nation.. possibly Atharva dreads the press prying into Vividha's life, but too late as the press wants to know from him .. who is the lady??
Signals of no trespassing are given off by Atharva regards Vividha to the outsideworld , Vividha s apprehension as to what he is likely to say is abruptly jarred !by his geographically true fact but status is omitted by the surly sentence , she is my neighbor??? even after his engagement! how he invades her raw nerve ! Invasion by right! Vividha demands an explanation for his irresponsible remark of calling her his neighbor as opposed to his fiance or would be wife? He explains she is unclear about their relationship within herself, thus she sends off mixed messages to him as well.. a foggy invisibility looms up between them... but Vividha is hell bent on an encroachment upon his aloofness, his denial of their relation, his reluctance of announcing it to the world! He wants to know the significance of Ravish in her life.. his comprehension defies him? He intrudes upon her word against circumstantial evidence! does he want proof? Unbelievable! she fumes. Then what of the letter?? that she owns up to writing.. and yes she has feelings for Ravish! That of tremendous respect, because they own him a lot of getting them two together that's why! But he explains that her respect for Ravish seems to go beyond the normal realms of esteem..so circumstantial evidence of photos , name written in the grain still impose doubts of insecurity within himself.. misunderstanding interrupts his sentiments. however her tirad but most of all her words.. you don't believe me do you? after all they have been..he questions her integrity!but its her own loss at ascertaining the situation ,why things were happening ? who is behind this.. then it's her tears of frustration that reflect his own state of being in the dark about why such issues conjured up? he gathers her and suddenly it's not a singular riddle that they attempt to solve ,but a united situation that encroaches upon their ability to see unclearly .. a thin layer of emotional cataract- it's not that he is blinded by some bilious jealousy , rather that he cannot help but deduce upon the evidence he can see.. and as such once again he asks her if she has any sentiments for Ravish? Yes it will hurt him, if but not burn with jealously.. Vividha is speechless his issue is that he cannot see that things are not just as they seem. She reminds him of their engagement ring .. and he reminds her their bond is that of the heart and soul..but if her heart beats for someone else then.. she dismisses his babbling and in all honesty he tells her... either he has the right to rule over her heart or him ??... Atharva cannot even bear to take the name that has links with his previous festering wounds.. and now the name widens the gap between him and Vividha.. the moment of Vividha to make her choice.. she cannot be sailing in two boats . lest she drowns. Vividha blurts what if she choices Ravish? Sorely he replies it matters not to him.. his wish shall be her command! Tit of tat! The dialogues are repeated to reiterate to each one of them the words, thought process and body language that is used between them.. questions like Atharva's right to discuss where her heart lies especially if they are meant to be married.. make sense? To her he appears unsure about them getting married over this matter which she struggles to get across to him.. what actually impinges over their ability to communicate to each other without creating stormy waves? Atharva Sujata , finds perhaps talking to the reporter was easier, it was all fairly cut and dry.. but talking to Vividha they both seem to be going in circles..
Thank heavens! Sujata encroaches, their slinging emotional match of groping in the dark. Stopped short they are.. Sujata tells them she is on her..but Sujata can sense some frigidity between then and then the confirmation words to get at Atharva from Vividha to Sujata wait for me! Me coming to Delhi with you too! What does this journey mean??? .. that other people's will can be imposed on her??? Vividha repeats, she is coming too! and going from Atharva? depart not from my heart... his words blow in the wind as the car carrying the two women he adores drives off.. Intrusion of his love , by her action! Rage kicks in right upon his business! the crashing of his milk containers symbolic of his contained festering sentiments now spilt out in raw natural rage! For Vividha her fury too impinges her disbelief at his doubting her.. Sujata wants to know yet respects Vividha' silent tears.. some things are best left.. so people are calm enough to share.. at a later stage. Atharva at home, spins chaff cutter , which rotates.. Atharva's churns with rage .. at whom? Himself or Vividha ? is good sense intruding his mind ? Uma wants to know but he too like Vividha is in no state to talk...both of them shun, encroachment of any form of support. Perhaps this is a good thing for them to internalize the folly of their ways??
The fresh past has a way of offering a smarting ..a form of healing.. his memory of moaning about the passing of time that sets them apart! the waiting before they are formally united .. now stings her.. his show of old affection.. a kiss before all to seal his right over her.. now after all the waiting its come to her choice.. he contradicts himself ..for whom Vividha choses out of Ravish and athrva will matter to all three of them Atharva ,Vividha and Ravish! Her tears roll down her cheeks..his words either him or me.. leave her in a state.. she's not sure just how to handle this.. he recalls, their passion towards each other.. but she wanted to marry him always.. then why did she carry out the choice ? Atharva and Vividha need to take a step back wards and consider each might be at fault rather then blaming each other.. Hamlet53 . 2.2.17
Precap: it seems both are ready to share their grievances against each other with Sujata and uma ..what role will the mothers play to bridge the gap between their children?
Was this a lover's tiff? to me the good bit was their awkward silence fell through and they had it loud and clear without mincing their words.. have to say that both actors Shivani and Vikram were nothing short but perfect in their performances.
