Like Brahmans, who fought battles, called themselves Kshatriya. Parshuram was one example.
Same during the Maratha Empire. Important leaders like Bajirao were Brahmans. But since they fought battles so were called Kshatriya as well.
Rajasthan also has caste systems like other states. But irrespective of that, they call themselves first & foremost Rajputs because their ancestors fought battles against invaders.
They wont count people belonging from the Rajput castes of other states among themselves. They are really sensitive in this matter.

Hopefully he won't get a visit from the real Rajputs.
