Part 20
Both Iyers abs bhallas decided that the engagement should be a very private matter as Ishra are younger in their age and people will surely ask a bunch of questions, so to avoid these they decided not to tell this to everyone ,instead they thought to keep it to families itself .Soon after deciding, both the families got into their houses , Mrs iyer called vandu abd told her to come asap without telling the matter while Mrs bhalla called mihir stating same .
It was afternoon Mr iyer was sitting in the hall and was doing some calculations when ishita slowly walked to him and sat beside him ,at first he ignored thinking she has come to do something but when saw that she is just sitting ,he raised his head and asked " ishu you want something ".
She nodded with watery eyes ,he asked " tell ishita what do you want ".
I- appa I know I m not a nice daughter ,I had done all this but please forgive me ,Maine ye intentionally nahi kiya ,its just happened, appa please forgive me .Aap bhi mere liye itne hi important ho jitne ki Raman but if wouldn't had spoke that time uncle would had taken Raman with him .Appa please understand Raman is a nice boy ,iske baad I will not demand anything from you but you please forgive me .
Till now her whole face has become red and eyes were already puffy because of continues cries .Mr iyer saw her and spoke " I do trust you ,I know raman is a nice boy but I was hesitant as you people are so young .more over I m not angry with u ,you go and rest ."
I- no appa ,I know you are angry but I actually like raman a lot ,wo bahut achche hain ,in return you can give me any punishment, if you want you can also slap me.
Mr iyer - no kanna its ok ,you go .
I(making a cute pout )- first tell me that you are not angry with me .
Mr iyer - oh ho bola na I m not angry .
I- tell you live your ishu like earlier .
Mr iyer smiled a bit and opened his arms for her ,she cocooned herself in his arms happily .On the other hand sane was the scene in bhalla house ,Mr and Mrs bhalla were discussing something when Raman went to them and stood in front if them .They ignored for sometimes ,then looked at him ,toshiji asked " puttar do you want something ".
R- yes ma ,yes papa I know today you must be ashamed of me as you must be thinking that I had forget you all because of ishita but its not like that ,I hsd not changed I m still sane raman who love his parents like anything ,who can do anything for his family and who agree for everything which his parent say. its just I want ishita too in my family nothing more than that .please forgive me ma ,please forgive me papa.apne mujhe ishita de di,ab mujhe kuch aur nahi chahiye except your forgiveness.
Toshiji looked at Mr bhalla to forgive Raman while he called him ,Raman went near and sat beside him .Mr bhalla caressed his hairs and spoke
" I m not angry but shocked to know that my Raman has done this ,I never thought that you will do this ,you were to engrossed in studies how come all of a sudden you got involved in this all .
R- I m sorry papa I broke your trust ,but believe me I m same raman and will fulfill all your dreams .
Mr bhalla - earlier I was confident but now I can only hope .
R- don't say like this papa ,ishita is a nice girl ,I just wanted to assure her that's why I did this all but believe me nothing had changed and nothing dill ever change .
Mr bhalla ,- let's hope for the best .
Listening to this raman sat on floor beside Mr bhallas knees and spoke " papa I know I had dine a blunder but it just happened I never tried but I likes ishita from very first sight and when did we fell for each other we didn't even know ,I had thought that I will never tell this to anyone till I succeed in my life but this all happed and all this happened, aap bolo ab main kya karoon I can't leave her ,just tell me what should I do to make you believe that I m your old raman.
Mr bhalla didn't said anything just pulled Raman to him and hugged him tight .They remain in same position for some times then Mr bhalla pulled raman and spoke " I m not angry on any of you and believe that you will keep our condition in mind and will not disappoint me this time ."
R(happily )- Thankyou so much papa .
Mr bhalla - be happy ,go and freshen up we have to go for shopping ,aakir apni balika vadhu ke liye dresses bhi tu hi choose karega na .
Raman blushed listening to this ,he ruffled his hairs and was gone from there smiling shyly ..He reached his room and called ishita but her phone was engaged ,he made a dirty face and spoke " kisse baat kar rahi hai ye ladki ".
Soon they got ready ,Ishra got surprisingly happy when they came to know that both the families are going together for shopping as they wanted yo buy things according to each others taste.Soon all reached the shop they devided in group of two ,ladies went to ladies corner while gents went to buy their stuffs .Mothers and father's were done while ishra were yet to decide actually they wanted to buy their attire according to others choice .Ishita has chosed two three lahengas but had not finalized any of them ,she was hesitant to tell their mother that she wanted to ask Ramans choice once ,on the other hand Raman too has selected two three sherwani but was not finalizing it ,he was thinking ways to ask is hit as choice and he got a way ,he took three sherwanies and told their father's that he is going to ask from his mother .without waiting for their answer he rushed to ladies section ,he went to his mother and asked showing the sherwani to her ,toshiji smiled and asked ishita " ishita puttar you tell which is the best ,"
They chosed a nevy blue color sherwani with golden and cream color embroidery for Raman and then at the sane time they picked ishita lahenga with the sane color combination .After finalizing their attires ,all went to jewelry shop to buy rings for them ,in this ishra didn't told anything abd their mother's chosed rings for them .
After buying some more necessary things for engagement, all were returning home ,but raman wanted to spend some lone time with ishita .He so wanted to hug her and talk to her for sometimes but he can't ask this from their parents as they already had agreed for engagement and asking something more doesn't look good .He thought to tell ishita for meeting him in terrace ,then again his mind chided him thinking this is not right atlast he went to his mother and told " ma I want to ask you something ".
T- haan bol na puttar .
R- ma wo ..ma I ..
T- arey theek se bol .
R- ma I want to talk to ishita .
T- haan to go and talk .
R- ma I want to meet her alone for sometimes .
T- ok let me talk to your papa .
R( pleading )- no ma please don't tell this to papa .
T- tu chup rah let me talk to him .
R- ma please ..
T- puttar let me ask ,he will not tell anything .
Saying so she went to talk to Mr bhalla though ramsn was stopping her .She told sane to bhallaji ,he thought for a while ,then looked at ramans face then ishitas, non was looking happy .Though everything was happening as per their will but non was happy instead a different type sadness was their in both face ,both were down casting their eyes as if they were too guilty .Mr bhalla went to Mr iyer and told same to him ,they talked for sometimes abd then they called Ishra to themselves and spoke " Ishits Raman we all agreed for your unusual demand to see you both but instead you both are looking to sad ."
They don't tell anything ,just stood in their places ,Mr bhalla asked Raman " raman what you asked from your mother ".
Raman didn't said anything ,he asked again,then Raman spoke meekly " I want to spend some time with ishita ".
Mr iyer - and ishu you .
This time she was silent ,they smiled then Mr bhalla gave his card to Raman and told him to go and shop some more with each other choice's and can return after dinner .Parents instructed raman to take care if themselves abd returned back to home leaving ishra in market itself .After they left Raman turned to ishita and asked " bolo cheeku kya khaoogi ".
I- nothing .
R- why .
I- Rams I m very much disturbed with all the happenings of these days, I don't want to eat or shop anything ,I just want to rest in your embrace, just engulf me in your arms ,hold me close to you so that I can believe that all this is true .Raman mujhe aisi jagah le chaliye ,jahan koi na ho bas main aur aap ."
Raman smiled listening to it and spoke " ok as you say but at first have your favorite ice cream, yaad hai you eat five ice creams at a time .
Ishita smiled recalling the incident then she spoke " but you forget me there and I waited for you so long ."
R- sorry for that ab kabhi nahi chodunga,now I will be always with you .
Saying so he wounded his arms around her shoulder and both went to the ice cream shop to relish their fav ice cream
