I wanted to make this thread the moment I got the news of the 'spin off', but thought that this news in not correct. But that DBO promo 'forced' me to.

What do u mean by spin off??

' a by-product or incidental result of a larger project.'

Why confuse the audience with IB and DBO.

They could have easily had IB air for 1 HR.

IB was initially promoted as a story of 3 brothers...now they are calling it a love story of Shivaay and Anika. (don't get me wrong, I am a Shivika shipper). But W*F????

The logic given is they can not get the love stories of Om and Rudra in the 25 min??

Looking at the promo DBO looks more like Om's love story with Shivika and Rumya in the background. I will not be surprised that they start one more Spin off of DBO to showcase the story of Rumya and call it 'Obro momemt'. The CVs are forgetting PriVeer may be another spin off?????

So 10:00-IB, 10:30-DBO, 11:00- Obro moment, 11:30- Dil bole ACP, 12:00 -Dil bole senior Oberoi's, 12:30- NB.

Thanks for making this post. I was thinking the same thing. Why not for an hour and split the next 1/2 hr to do the OmRu story so you can weave it in.
The DBO looks like it is set a few months ahead of IB though because ShivIka look like a settled pair of 'love birds'. I don't know about you but this is going to be kinda weird to watch for me. For me it will be like IB is a back flash and DBO is the present.
I do hope Om and Rudy fans are not disappointed by the story ... the promo did not look very promising in terms of keeping Om's character true to the original one ... I hope I am wrong becuz I like the Om in IB

FTW.. Ur last line cracked me up.. 🤣 Ok... It looks like DBO story will move lil bit forward with SHivOmRu.. as.. shivIka lil bit seemed to be in love.. so much in promo.. RumYa still cute bubbly nokjhok.. n Om depressed person.. May be lil bit TL difference or main IB's track will go like dis now to start with DBO.. just don'tr wanna predict.. as Shivay is still SSO.. lil bit softened.. Just don't expect him changed n lovey dovey.. 😆 It looks like just for promo.. Popat bana rahe hain ..

@Pearl.. I do think.. that.. soon.. this 1 Hr.. every SS will be divided Equally may be more working LS lil bit too much.. becoz DBO n IB story for 1hr.. maintaining storyline will be pretty hard.. but I am happy that.. Much needed both bros LS is also gonna start..

Yes Shivaay looks very much in love, as if he has accepted his love and is flaunting it. The way confidently he is talking about love and is leaning into Anika and looking at her as her husband and lover where as Anika is all shy on him. Looks like they just returned from their Month long honeymoon.

Rumya...it seems have not made any progress. That is the reason I feel Gul might have to bring another spin off to start their story.

Om looks like a different version of his, in DBO. I did not connect with him. He looked less sensitive and more impatient... Even bitter. Which I did not connect with. I too like Om of IB whom you call Shivaay's soul. But this Om looked a different person. The tadi that he is shown giving does not suit him.

The promo also is not in sync with its title- Dil bole Obreoi... It sounded more like IB 2, with all defining ishq and talking about IB. Where is Obreoi???

I just hope Gul does not end up ruining the IB to make us believe in DBO. Or even worse... rush the story of IB. I am dreading that she might just end up with Shivaay realizing & confessing his love and no redemption track and that PI miraculously getting all the proofs against NB...and boom a leap...baam DBO.

I just hope Gul can pull this off. This is the first time on Indian television that some one is trying a spin off.

But for me this is not spin off. It is suicide. The original and spin off cannot go together and that too the original airing at 10:00 and the 'spin off' at 10:30. You need to complete the original, let the audience soak in it, miss seeing it and then you launch the spin off.

Gul u will confuse your audience .

See gul is known for creating cult love stories like geet and ipk..the problem with ib is she promoted it as the story of oberoi brothers..but ended up with shivika lovestory.Now everyone knoe gul cant think of anything other than intense lovestories...We should thank sp for recognising kunals talent and gave a newtimeslot for his character..Gul will utilise this only to show lovestory of om and rudra as she cannot think anything other than love...Let her do what she is best bcoz in that she creates masterpiece..Om and his fans deserve this show as he was used as a wallpiece since the past 4months...

If a show is extended for 1hr trps will be affected bcoz they take whole 1hr trps into calculation.10.30is a struggling slot of sp..The original ib ratings will be affected...Dil bole oberoi is a new show,so trps will be different,advertisers will be different,..if the show gets atleast decent trps new advertisers will approach and they can make money..at the end its all about business

DBO is an entirely new show and a spin off (it's not that original n spin-off can't go side by side as many shows in Us n their spin off air simultaneously with occasional/frequent) crossovers

DBO has a different crew, Director, writer, every one is different here also a different time slot n different TRP

Whether the show is present now or in future we can't say but this spin off does make sense as they had made In a solely Shivika show
