PRIYANKA CHOPRA SUPPORTS ANTI-TRUMP WOMEN'S MARCH

IANS | Jan 22, 2017, 03.29 PM IST

Washington: Actress Priyanka Chopra extended her support for the women's march here, a day after Donald Trump was sworn in as the US President.

But the 34-year-old actress was not physically present in the protest due to her shooting schedule.

"So proud of all my sisters and the men that are at the women's march. I'm so upset I couldn't go. Girl love, women's rights are human rights," Priyanka posted on Twitter.

The actress is in Los Angeles to resume the filming of her Hollywood debut "Baywatch", which also stars Dwayne Johnson, Zack Efron and Alexandra Daddario.

She posted a side-profile selfie on her Instragram account after she landed.

"And we're back! LA LA... again... let's go! Always rushed for time... Everywhere to go and nowhere to be. 'Baywatch', night shoots, fun fun," she captioned the image.

why did they post a picture of Emily Ratajkowski at the march? Indian media is so funny! 😆

Yeah, Priyanka felt bad she couldn't join her Quantico team for the March and tweeted about it. She had to go to LA to shoot Baywatch Super Bowl promo.

yasmine al massri @jazmasri

quantico ladies were down the streets in DC and NY today @womensmarch because it's a women's show '@SamiRattner @aunjanuejlt @ReallyMarcia

Are these celebrities worried about abortion laws in USA? Bcz that's the main concern for the women marching in US... That and Gov should fund it...

I googled and found out atleast according to the law India has more restrictive laws than the USA...

Who are you talking about specifically? Everyone mentioned in this topic are active supporters of women's rights and Nargis is American so nothing weird about it.

There were Women's Marches all over the world that day! I know there was one here in Toronto. Even New Delhi had a march. It was more symbolic.

Don't know about the others but Nargis is an American citizen and grew up in NY and still considers it home. I think she goes back often too. Makes sense that she would be interested in American politics and culture.
