I'd be surprised if half-girlfriend doesn't do well. All Chetan Bhagat movie adaptations do well, post-IPL release, Mohit Suri songs picturised on Shraddha...

On the otherhand Padmavati is way more risky. Giant budget, no holiday release, Bajirao Mastani fatigue/comparisons & RS now has the most starpower out of this flop trio.

Shraddha has neither talent nor dat X factor..she was plain lucky..dont get the hype around her looks too.

Not sure about the starpower bit because even Befikre didn't work. Ultimately, it is about content, especially for a film with such a huge budget. Most people expected BM to flop because of the clash and the budget, but it worked, so one never knows.

As for Chetan Bhagat's films, yes, you are right about his films working.

Lol that was the point I was making Befikre flopped but he pretty much solely brought it to 60 cr (Adi C factor was pretty negligible bc fans of movies like DDLJ, RNBDJ, Mohabbatein were turned off from the onset by the trailer.) RS/DP/Shahid need SLB to save them right now.

I have read the book and it has dramatic filmy story which would suit very well in BW 😆 But Shraddha can't match the beautiful Riya in the book. Arjun would certainly suit Madhav.

5point someone worked but it was Raju Hirani there. His 2nd book made into movie Hello flopped. Kai po che then was semi hit
2 states worked really well. HG may work well.

It is a team effort. SLB too needs RS-DP to give a hit. You see how Guzaarish & Saawariya flopped.
Padmavati is a sure shot hit.

Lucky ? Varun's movies are always hit. Varun and Tiger were lucky for her not vice versa. 😕

Shraddha and Katrina suffering from the same problem now. The 'luck' was actually picking movies with prospect to have successful music. But nowadays with YT available on mobiles people dont spend money on cinemas and instead watch the songs on YT for "free". Thats why mediocre movies with good music like BBD, OKK met the same fate.

Why wasn't tiger lucky for himself in Flying Jatt then? 😆 kuch bhi.

The main point here is a bad film won't work! No matter how good the music or how lucky the star is. I personally think the fact that Ok Jaanu collected 11 crores in its opening weekend is shocking lol that's way too high for a movie with zero appeal!

Anyway Shraddha will either fizzle out ... or she might make her mark. She might be like Deepika who started perfoming well after doing movies for 6 years 😆


But I think one thing is for sure she does have a fan base and IS popular. That appeal is there, she just needs to work a lot harder! She can't even be compared with Alia right now, Alia's now in the category of Priyanka-Deepika etc

This is going to happen to people like Varun, Tiger and Shraadha. They are slowly going to fade out. Their luck is their movies worked for some odd reason. They offered nothing new. They are terrible actors.
