Today we had an end of a relationship , and a new beginning of an old one.
I have already read some comments written on this forum and I'm quite disappointed with some of the reaction towards Vividha. And it's not just because she is my favourite. It's because of what she had to go through.
Vividha was on display today.
I'm going to give Ravish credit for what he did today, but how he did it was simply disturbing to watch. Yes, he was fulfilling his promise to Vividha of reuniting her with Atharv, but divorce papers would have sufficed. Or perhaps, in the privacy of their room he could have asked Vivi to take off her mangal sutra and sindoor and then told the family the marriage had now ended.
But in the name of drama, and to make sure the female lead came across as sympathetic to the audience, Vividha was subjected to the cruellest humiliation in front of everyone. I would have respected Ravish more if he had just stuck to his speech. I liked the fact that he admitted the marriage was forced and in name only. I loved his words when he said the mangal sutra was just a piece of jewellery worn on the body if it was not connected to the soul, and that the phere he took with Vividha had no identity in front of the vachans ViTharv had taken together.
And don't get me started on Atharv. How dare he just stand back today and let Vividha go through this ordeal! Where was Vividha's Atharv? Even if the rest of the family were standing watching the tamasha, he should have intervened and stopped it from happening. And yes, he had every right to. Because where Vividha is concerned, he has that right. Atharv disappointed me today even more then Ravish!
ViTharv have now finally come back to Ajmer. Everything is the same, the tabela, the cows, Julia. Yet everything is so different. ViTharv are different.
The last three months have changed ViTharv whether we want to admit it or not. They are not the phase one ViTharv who used to laugh with each other, tease each other, hold each other, love each other. As much as they want to, they can't pick up from where they off. They are further apart right now then they have ever been and it's not going to easy for them to find their way back to each other.
So much has been said about the pre-cap and again Vividha is being blamed by some. Why? Because she was going to put sindoor on? So!
No matter what Vividha does, it's always her who has to prove her love. She left her marriage in the most humiliating way today for Atharv. I hope people remember that and be a bit more sympathetic before judging.
