Just striked it in my mind. a girl who never crossed her bounderies.. a girl who didn't agree for a simple hug (for her everything was after marriage)has now comletely surrended herself to kunal.
Why such a big step CV's took ?
Is is start of someone's glorification ?
Meghna has been always superior so let's her bring down to glorify someone ,is it that case ?i am still confused. It's hard for me to digest..

I don't this it's to bring down Meghna or to glorify Naina.
To be honest, they've shown Meghna to be a modern girl. She is shown as very human. She is happy, the fact that Kunal promised to look after her mom just like his family. That line was very important for Meghna.
Of course, everyone is going to have different view on this and I'm interested in learning what everyone else thinks.

I agree
Meghna is shown a modern girl and before maybe she didn't trust kunal completely and now she does trust him

in indian tele-serial land it is all about loving your family. no matter how horrid, thankless and worthless the family is. adarsh female lead will love and 'change' the family.

so if a girl says dialogues like.. pariwaar ko tod ke.. rest assured she is not all out positive. and no matter how much i love grey i have to admit our tele land hasn't reached that stage where a grey character will be treated with in-depth understanding.

so is meghna being butchered to glorify naina? NO!
she has been signed up to play the 'not so pristine white' character. with or without naina in the picture.

the second promo is dead giveaway.

Yes, I prefer NaiRan as a Jodi but I do love Meghna. Don't think we've ever had a character like hers on Indian Telly.

I too think its just to give a solid foundation to naina agreeing for marriage...naina ia also a strong girl..if she agrees for this forced marriage then there must be a solid reason. Now naina know that meghna and kunal are one,so she will try her best not to break their marriage..

@TM - I don't know how different this show will be wrt other shows in terms of portraying female leads. Generally what I have seen is that there will be a pristine female lead who'll be all tyagi and mahaan. In Swabhimaan, I loved Meghna's character as she was portrayed quite differently.

Now if the cvs of this show are anything like the others, they might go down the path that you described - butcher one and glorify another. Though I really hope that is not the case. MeghNal scene was something I wasn't expecting given the trend of current hindi telly, but I was pleasantly surprised. Meghna feels like a real character - she is strong, real, impulsive - the same traits that a "normal" girl would have.

Hope the cvs do justice to the characters esp Meghna and don't make her a cardboard cut out vampish character who'll be redeemed later on.
