So I'm a sucker for bromance and basically any kind of sibling chemistry/bond. Honestly, up until now the makers failed to highlight the brotherly love/bond between Atharv and Ravish at least to me, but today for the first time I felt that bond. I don't know how many of you hold the same views as me, but I'm making this post anyway, because I personally LOVED this episode.
If you watched the show from the beginning, you would know how khudar Atharv is. He HATES taking favors and more than that he HATED RK and his other family. And why wouldn't he? The man left him and his mother in the most vulnerable state to fend for themselves to be with his other family. He was deprived of his father's love, the normal facilities that a father provides for his child. He had a rough start to life. He ALWAYS saw his mother struggling to give him a good life! And to top it all, despite his father having left them, his mother never stopped loving him. Sujata's devotion for RK always fuelled Atharv's hatred for his spineless father.
And as he zoomed off on that bike, that's all he could think of. All the tough times him and his mother had gone through, because of his father and his other family (although the family was not to blame). I think the fact that stung him the most was that, RK made his mother suffer by leaving her and out of all people it was RK's other son who took his Vividha from him.
Unfortunately, Ravish confronted Atharv at a time when he was at his worst, yet most vulnerable state and became the 'punching bag' of all that anger brewing within him. Atharv threw his helmet at him, punched him, kicked him and he was unstoppable. This was the moment that touched me the most. I knew Ravish wouldn't hit him back, but I thought he might just stop him. However, he took my by surprise when he didn't even raise his hand to stop him. He took it all, without flinching even once, because he knew Atharv was in pain. The pain, anger, frustration bottled up inside him since his childhood all came out on Ravish today, who was the culprit in his eyes at this very moment. And Ravish let him do that. He let him pour it all out, until Atharv gave up and fell down on his knees in defeat. The BG music made a great impact here.
Ravish's dialogues were so on point today. He said that this was between him and his brother and that if he had been in his place he would have done the same. I agree, anyone would have. This is the first scene of the brothers' that pulled some strings and I really LOVED it. Finally when they all told him the truth, realisation dawned upon Atharv and you could see in his eyes how he understood everything that Ravish had done for him. Atharv's inner wounds are still fresh and so is his pain. He will need a lot of time to come around and accept Ravish as his brother, but if the makers carry this out properly, I'm sure they will do justice to their relationship.
Sorry this has become too long. I'm open to alternate views, but please present them in a civil way and no fan wars. I'm not a fan of Ravish, but have to give credit where due :)
