Decisions depend on where you are in your life and what kind of bargaining power you have. Being totally new to HW, Deepika could not have expected to get the roles say a Scarlett Johansson is offered.

In BW, she has the bargaining power to say no to what she doesn't like, so you would expect her to leverage it. For example, she did Housefull when her movies weren't really going Housefull lol, but I doubt she would do a Housefull now. This is true for anybody.
