I don't maya will kill ashwin on her wedding day. She wants to marry arjun so bad so I doubt she will do anything to ruin that. I think either ashwin will fake his death or saanjh will accidentally or intentionally kills him. But indirectly it will be coz of maya. Also chances of maya getting blamed and jailed are very high. At this point, I can't call saanjh a positive character. She is grey coz of her obsession with arjun and the way she emotionally blackmailing arjun. It's hard to tell her boundaries now.

If cvs choose to write maya as a killer who intentionally killed ashwin, their portrayal of maya so far would fall flat coz since the beginning she is a grey character with a damaged mind. Making her a murderer would just make things black and white and that is not how maya or this show really is. There is no divided line between black and white or good and evil.
