Rangoon is a Vishal Bhardwaj that we all are waiting for eagerly. Apart from the fact that it is directed by a much revered filmmaker, it also has a Casablanca-like love story between Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor. All three are looking amazing, we must say. The film releases on February 24 and thus the screenings of the film for industry members have already begun. Yesterday, a similar event was held which left us a little surprised. Shahid Kapoor and his family was present at the event minus Kangana and Saif. That made us wonder if it was a private screening for the Kapoors... (Also read: Fans love Kangana Ranaut's chemistry with Saif Ali Khan more than with Shahid Kapoor in Rangoon trailer)
Shahid came with his father Pankaj Kapur and wife Mira Rajput. Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj were also there along with Sajid Nadiadwala. But there was no sign of Saif and Kangana. That definitely makes us curious as to why they weren't there. Were they not invited or did they choose to stay away? Now we know how things are between Shahid and Kangana. The latter had called herself the third hero in Rangoon which left Shahid a bit irritated if not angry. "Why doesn't she say there are three heroines in the film? Is there anything less in being a heroine? There are three protagonists in the film and for me, being a hero or a heroine doesn't make any difference. So, if saying that you being a hero makes you a bigger person, I don't agree with that thought process, " the actor told DNA. Later Kangana even said that she doesn't go to work to make friends. She was quoted by a daily saying, "We (Shahid and her) had a healthy partnership on set and I don't see any trouble between us. Of course, we weren't pally, which [is] probably [what] was misconstrued. People need to understand that we don't go to work to make friends." Fair enough but that shouldn't be reason behind not being at the screening of your own film.
Well while we try to figure why both Kangana and Saif were absent from the event, you check out the pictures from the same.
