This discussion is about whether marriage is always a sacred institution. Marriage is treated as very holy and sacred no matter how many negative points it has. A divorce is treated like a sin when people are unhappy in their marriage. Is it really necessary to work out our marriages when we can't be together? In this show, there are several examples.

Shakti-Pinky: This marriage is of compromise where a poor girl is married to a rich boy. Pinky most probably suffered a lot of humiliations from the society. She most probably did not got proper love from her husband but still she did not walked out of marriage.

Tej-Jahnvi: This marriage was a love marriage where the girl ran away from her arranged marriage and got married to the love of her life. She was made to quit her career and become a housewife. Few years later, Tej most probably started having affairs. After so many years with 3 grown up children, he slept with a woman of his daughter's age and still roams with her while scolding and insulting Jahnvi. Jahnvi is tolerating everything but not walking out of marriage.

Rudra-Soumya: This marriage happened while they were drunk. Instead of annulling their marriage they are just calm about this marriage thinking it as nothing.

Shivaay-Anika: Shivaay has done what not with Anika but still Anika has fallen in love with him instead of leaving the house. She roams with him as if he never did anything to her. She listens to Dadi's nonsense about marriage being sacred but does not walk out of marriage.

Ranveer-Priyanka: If they get married in the show, Priyanka instead of telling her family will remain in this marriage. She will not even file complaint of abuse against him.

With all this examples, it seems that marriage is too overrated in India which can't be ended no matter what. People can think divorce as a sin or taboo but divorce is actually a divine and relief for many people. Is marriage really sacred that one should preserve it no matter what?

Yes it is...because people are gonna make ur life hell if u r divorced...and in TV shows they use it for their trp..because that's what with which people can relate their life ...and yeah by doing so they are making this belief stronger in our society :( :(

I don't know about the legal side of Rumya marriage, but because they were drunk the Marriage is actually void. The forced marriages of shivika & maybe priveer will also be void.
Anika was not a girl who was brought up in a family, she has already told how she felt tto live alone. Shivaay inspite of everything he has done is the only one who had rushed to her house at the middle of the night to ensure her safety!! He had stood for her, saved and helped her at various occasions!! She can't think like us who were brought up under the security of a family! We always consider divorce mainly because we had a better life before and we are suffering now. As for Anika, Shivaay is her shield whatever he does, he always protects her from the harsh outer world. Morever she understands him and buys him as a total packet with his strengths and weaknesses. She knows his anger vulnerability pain, happiness and everything. They will find solace in each other arms finally. He is another lonely man burdened by responsibilities and expectations, he too needs someone like her!!
Tejvi needs to divorce, while Shivaay just wears Tejs mask while Tej is a complete gone case!!
Shinky represents Indias most marriages, for family, for the world!!
Ranveer must have gone mad post nearly losing his only companion, his sister, we should put ourselves in his shoes to know the pain!! Priyanka should have had the courage to report the hit and run case! But he will definitely break her fears, she was too brought up somewhere her parents were constantly fighting with each other, and her rights were never discussed...So let prinku take up a stand for herself this time, its also gone hit shivaay hard!!
Then MS & Sindhoor are just overrated!! Divorce should happen if needed, IB is just entertainment!!

For me marriage is beautiful only if both husband and wife are equally respected , if both understand, compromise n love each other. N the example you have given if any one of it happens in real life then a self respecting and strong individual will and should get divorce asap!😊

Yes i agree Marraige is a sacred institution!!!!But one has to understand d meaning &essence of it b4 entering into it...but unfortunately most ppl dont know abt it...Marriage is beautiful nd meaningful when its b/w two equal individuals in all respects...it can also be made beautiful even in case of unequals if they r mature enough, give space to each other, nd most importantly ADJUST...In my view, Adjustment is good until ur character nd self respect is intact,,,Try to change/improve urself if it does to good to u&ur partner..but a thin line should be drawn where change may mean losing self-respect...So as long as u r happy with minor adjustments, u can go for it nd d question of divorce never comes...And its true that divorce is still a taboo in India nd most ppl dont go for it...
