So a journey which started beautifully and took us in for a roller coaster ride had come to an end on Friday . I know I'm late , it was long weekend here n I was enjoying my vacation only to come back and catch up with my favorite show and was so discontented watching it . Before starting the new season , I had to let out my disappointments of season 1 . So please bear with me ...
- Drama quotient way too higher for Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aie Bhi - I mean we didn't signe up for this , at least not me , but past two weeks were riding high on too much emotions . If you compare previous break-up and last weeks we could clearly see the difference. In an interview writer talked about when in another soaps they have to add more drama , in KRPKAB they can keep it more real and only need to add 20% drama , but off late it doesn't seems like it .
- Talk about "no vamp " in our show !!! - I always took pride in saying there are no typical vamps in our show , but in the end, it all came down to that . GKB-Vicky mother son duo was nothing less .
- Sona's exit from Dixit house - The way things were going south , I knew it was headed in this path , but I never would have imagined Sona's exit in this way specially with Dev shouting at her . I wanted Sona's exit as per her own decision and I wanted our very own strong Sona calling out the Dixit's hypocrisy. (Sona-Ishwari confrontation after the break-up scene is still one of my favourite scene , I hoped we would get something like that .)
- Unnecessary infertility track - I had high expectations from it , since Dev had already taken his stand regarding it , even before his marriage , I was hoping in this track we would witness our favourite couples fighting the odds together and being the pillar of strength for each other in that journey , but hey they have to make it all about Ishwari and her pain .
- Neha's character reduced to a jealous, outspoken sister - Neha was such a beautifully layered character , and I was so saddened by the way they turned her character . How I wished for bonding between two strong female characters and Sona n Neha learning from each other.
- Lost the USP of the show - Unlike other couples we have seen in TV, DevAkshi was different because of the innocence and purity of their love . I had never seen a couple who genuinely wanted to be together but have to fight this much for being together . But writers damaged the characters so badly that they behaved so irrationally recently. Sona despite being a doctor not even bothering to take a home pregnancy test before announcing her pregnancy to the world, Dev shouting at Sona to get out of his house , the sensible Sona taking not-so smart decision of mortgaging her parents house , Sona believing the most wicked Vicky than Dev who even in inebriated state wanted to be with her , Dev even after knowing the truth about "him" throwing Sona n her family out of her own house , deciding to whine in there ( Dev we know would have rushed in there no matter what his state is, even GKB was criticizing Dev for it , but where is Elena when she heard the news , she used to live there for heaven's sake ) , Dev's most illogical argument in the end , she just signed the pre-nup in front of you , man . And if anything else Dev could have voiced his pain , of how he thought she would be there with him always , fighting for them but she is ready to give up on them , or how the only person he opened up in his entire life was not ready to trust him or how she gave her time for anything but their relationship after marriage.
- Focus shifted to three main leads . This show had grown on us so much that we loved , even the small scenes like sisters interactions , talk between a boss - and secretary , or the characters like Kichu Bhaiya 😆 . But later on they had put emphasis only on the three leads , which made me long for those light moments and interactions between other characters
Anyway there is no point in looking back now ,and the new journey has already started I can only hope , they would make up for all our disappointments in this season .This was not an intentional negative post ,but I had to get it out of my system ,before I start new season so that like DevAkshi , I can also start from a clean state .😃
My TL is buzzing with pics of post leap and reading wonderful things .Loved the new looks specially Sona's if not for anything else atleast I can look forward to watch these two hoties on screen .😉
Feel free to let out your frustrations too , lets hope CVs listen to us and will make us fall in love with these characters and the show all over again .

PS: I heard the writers had changed recently , well that explains some major damage done to some characters , I so wish Mamta mam pay them extra for one week , and ask them to sit and watch previous episodes so that even if they change the characters completely the core of them remains the same !!!
