Dangal' has become a huge hit and the box office collection of it is the proof. In three days the film has collected Rs. 106.95 crore and this includes the Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie as well. Everyone knows that it wasn't easy to make Dangal'. Aamir Khan who played the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat had to undergo major physical transformation in order to portray his character perfectly. He played both younger and older Phogat brilliantly. Critics, celebs and fans of the actor were left stunned after seeing his performance in the film.

Dangal' was shot for two and a half months in Ludhiana and they have loved the entire experience. Aamir tells how the people there treated them with warmth and cooperated all the time. The superstar says that the people are loving and caring. Aamir says that whenever he shot in Punjab, he has enjoyed that big time.
In case of Sakshi Tanwar who played the role of Daya Kaur (Mahavir Singh Phogat's wife), it was easy for the people to connect to her as the locals there considered her as family. Her fan followers there were huge because there were many who watched her on TV. Aamir says that they are sincere and hospitable. Not just that, the locals even ensured that the cast and crew of the film face no trouble. There are many things that Aamir and Sakshi have to say about the people in Punjab and it's just really sweet.
Apart from Aamir Khan and Sakshi Tanwar the two young girls who played pivotal roles in the film are Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Fans in abroad called them as perfect finds' for the film to play the role of Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat.
