GAdar was based on Partition :-)

More than war I would like BW and esp HW make to movies based on the global threat which is only going to get worse - terrorism... But HW would never do it.

I don't like war-related movies. They have more romance rather than actual war scenes.

I heard the telugu movie 'Kanchi' is a nice war movie with WW 2 as the central story...Yet to check it out though...

But yes, a good movie with a real war story is indeed something that Bollywood is yet to venture into..(we have the fictional war story in Baahubali )

At least 3 directors are trying to bring the 'Battle of Saraghari' to the big screen. When 21 Sikh soldiers defended their post against 10000 Afghans. UN Lists IT among the 9 greatest acts of Human bravery yet not many in India knows about it. Hopefully Bollywood will be able to do what Hollywood was able to do for the Spartans because this story needs to be told for those 21 brave soldiers.
