I think they are trying to recreate Ishwari in Sonakshi. Meaning Ishwari is also a single parent and Sonakshi will also be a single parent. The difference will be in the upbringing.

Where Dev is not given the real meaning of values, Sonakshi will make sure her daughter understands them. Sonakshi will not take away the things that make her child happy to make herself happy.

Ishwari will probably see a confident grand daughter in that child. She might ask Dev to bring the child home saying that she is her granddaughter and a dixit and ghar ka chirag. But at that time Sonakshi might refuse and the prenup will come into light. Ishwari might then begin her true repentance.

Dev for the first time would confront Ishwari truly and ask her the questions he should have asked long back.

Maybe this is what the makers are thinking. I am very confused regarding the story right now. Trying to make sense of it and this is what my brain came up with.

This is like one of the FF. Like some parts of that FF. Just my POV.
