Well first of all I would like to make clear that this post isn't to criticise anyone but just to know you p.o.v.

I know it seems weird to mention but i am a little confused by the way they are portraying the serial in terms of costumes with some actors

the costumes are off shoulder tops, blouses and so on!.

tia's costume is always revealing ones!

I mean it looks good to an extent..

in the intial episodes Navina looked pretty even though her dressup was so modern..but these days i feel it simply doesn't suit her!

Saumya looks good in the costume they've selected for her!

and anika barely gets to wear something that would suits her except the white kurta and the anarkali i saw in the promo.. and yea other simple tops!!..

I hope I dont sound so stupid!

I just want the actors to get what suits them perfectly..that's it..the actors are fab..i <3 them all!

sorry for the random and unmanaged post..I have exams tomm so didn't get time to edit..but couldnt keep away from posting,too!

I don't think it's too much. I think people are used to seeing heroines only in sarees, salwar-kameezes and jeans with long ethnic kurtas so it's hard to accept the heroines dressing up in on going trend of fashion. Off shoulder tops, cold shoulder tops n crop tops are very much in fashion. Gul is showing the women dressing up the way 2days generation modern women dress up in Metros like Mumbai. Prinku is an exception as very less women of 2days time dress up like her. Even Naira and Gayu of YRKKH dress up in latest fashion trends being the leads of the show. The heroines in Jamai Raja which is also set in Mumbai wears more trendiest clothes. I think this is the only show of Gul where she gives better and suitable clothes to the heroines.

i dont even want to get into details. i am SO PROUD of anika and SO GLAD shes breaking the stupid saree and shalwar stereotypes of the "indian bahu" 😵 -__- who even wears that everyday anymore!?

she has an AMAZING bod, and the jeans and tops do her all the justice, tho they can be better but im not complaining. I love most the things she wears because her figure is too perf. Except for the reception saree and the weird green red saree when he "gifts" her divorce papers.. all her dresses are really good and i like them tho theyre all repeated

she looks just as good in desi/eastern as in westen.

I dont get why people "REVEALING" is bothering you so much!? :/ now dont expect the vamps to constantly wear subtle flowy shalwars or anakalis man

except for Tia... everything everyone wears suits them a LOT.

Tia looks too heavy tho in the kind of stuff she wears.

Well for me i personally love tia outifits, sadly she gets better outfits than soumaya and anika

i liked many anika outfit like in green outfit she wore on wedding after party. the white dress she wears, the peach outfit after daksh kidnap. but some were ugly for example the red and white pom pom saree, oh gosh it was hideous, i blame the costume designer

No wonder why Gul have Zoya only simple jeans n tops dat also outraged bell bottom jeans n only 2-3 kinds of tops wid different colours. People r never happy if a heroine wears western. Everyone only want to see heroines in sleeves blouse sarees, lehenga n chham-chham anarkalis. If galti se bhi Gul had given Zoya tank tops, crop tops n short dresses then there wud be posts on Zoya's clothes every 2-3 days. Even after 3-4 years of introduction of dat show one can't imagine d heroine wearing something else than sarees n anarkalis. Wats wrong in wearing off shoulder n wearing clothes? Dis is d way modern girls dress up in India. Hardly anyone in Mumbai wears sarees n anarkalis 24/7. I dread on thinking how wud have people reacted if Anika was shown wearing shorts n thigh length dresses like many Mumbai girls. D class I go to has married women wearing sleeveless tops n short clothes sans mangalsutra n Sindoor even in late 30s n early 40s but Anika is nearly 30 n still some has problems wid it. Anika may be d heroine but she is also a normal girl who can wear wat she wants. Every month there is a post on Anika's clothes even though when she wears normal clothes.

its just about what suits anika and what not..

and what suits the way her character has been portrayed and what not!

yea off shoulder tops are a bit too modern for me to bear..i dont belong to mumbai or such a big city..but i am ok with that..and i feel it really suits saumya..

Anika would would pretty in the kind of clothes that are actually a lil fitting types..common surbhi has worked really hard to become lean..so i think that would suit her figure and body type!

tia has been wearing modern i would rather say ultramodern clothes since day1..but those clothes suit her and seemed quite normal!

but do u think a girl would wear the kind of clothes tia is wearing even at her home? for eg remember yesterday's epi cothes!..if they do..then i have no idea..I'm sorry!

I just think they should put more attention on her costumes..!

i have no problem with her wearing jeans and tops!..

but she should be given clothes that suit her more better!
they are real careless with that!

I think I said too much but I was fed up of posts on women's every clothes every month like she sud wear dis n not dis, her clothes was revealing, her clothes don't suit her middle-class Status, she walks like a man, she sud wear dupatta cuz he was watching her blah blah blah. Mumbai is a couple of hours 4m my home & I go for classes there. Wat Tia was wearing yesterday was not vulgar. It was just a crop top n knew length skirt. Don't women's belly skin gets shown in sarees? Its just most of d people r not used to revealing clothes on heroines so off shoulder seems too much. No one will care wat we think suit them or not. They will wear what they r comfortable in. Off shoulders r small things in posh areas in Mumbai. Women whether married or not even wears shorts n mini dresses. I think Gul is being right in clothes department. Otherwise in every other shows d families r shown millionaires n billionaires wid d men walking around in suits n glares doing business while women r shown cooking n walking around d house in sarees wid ghunghat n loads of jewelleries. Glad dat Gul is not showing nonsense like dis n is being realistic. What do u think women in Ambani n Birla families wear at home? Sarees n salwar or comfortable pyjamas n short clothes? Why only there r always posts on wat women wear in d show? Why not of men?
