kuch bhi😆...people are obviously going to have problems na if their favorite characters are ignored and only one person/couple is given most of the focus...of course the hate becomes too much and unreasonable sometimes but like I said all of this stems from other characters and couples being ignored...let us not give a colorist angle to it(I don't think the word racism can be used since all of them are of the same race).
Yes initially there were comments against her weight and perhaps skin tone too...but those were by different people...some of them were nakuul's fans from previous show who didn't find the couple visually appealing initially...on that not let me too confess that for me too they don't particularly make a good looking couple...and it has got nothing to do with their skin tones.

Also let me also say that once I made a post criticizing her acting in a scene and said nothing against her weight/body frame or skin tone...yet there were 2 people who started mocking the actress in my display picture by saying that she was 'pale as a ghost' and 'stick thin'...if belittling a person for not being fair complexioned and being big boned is wrong then so is mocking somebody because they are fair and skinny...respecting all body types mean respecting ALL body types,no?

Of course the big framed/big boned women are mocked more than the skinny ones are...so many people were against anika/SC initially...I liked her since the start...she can act man...and I think she looks really pretty when at her simple best...like that scene where anika saves shivaay from ACP...she had worn simple clothes, simple braid and no long, gaudy ear rings and she looked so pretty..her emoting makes her prettier.

as far as i can remember SP hates Gul and vice-versa🤣

See I don't know the answer to the question you asked but I would like to point out that being an actress or actor is never about only looks. It's about creating a completely new person and making us believe in every emotion that goes on their face & make us feel it. When it comes to Surbhi, she does that beautifully. That's what matters.
About outer beauty, Tia is as beautiful as Anika. But we love Anika bcoz she is good at heart. Isn't that enough of a message for people. That inner beauty is what matters.
As for skin tone SC has a very beautiful skin tone. Weight I feel, if is not affecting your health, is one's own preference. As for Saumya, Nehaha is an angel. So I really don't understand how can people hate them for it.

Hmm interesting. Honestly, I think subconsciously our epitome of beauty is that of Caucasian features...fair skin , slim body and thin sharp pointed nose.
But, I dont think people here on IF dislike Anika for her looks. I lover her girl-nextdoor look.

. In fact, my own family have said something like, I am not fair enough or I need to lose wt etc etc... I very well understand how painful it is to judge people based on their looks...
I think we all need to rewire our neural circuitry and accept each other for our true inner character than the outer features.

One thing that I love at IB is Soumya... people who r chubby, like myself understand very well how hard is to find fashionable clothes that highlight our features... and I love how Soumya wears stylish western clothes for her body types.

Honestly it's about being comfortable in your own skin is the most important thing. And Soumya's character is very inspiring. ...I am sure your aunt being a psychiatrist knows very well about the epidemic of eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia and their complications.

I wished media had more actresses that represented a average citizens... and spread positive messages.
I remember in 2009 I stopped liking prinyaka Chopra for doing a fairness advertising. I was shocked as how could see do that ad when so many youth looks up to her for styles.
