Part 30:
The next day was quite like a normal Sunday. Anika kept sulking at the thought of going to the Spa, she hadn't been to one before dint know how things went about there. What if she made herself a pappu there.! what if Shivaay was disgraced by her behaviour he was used to all of this but she wasn't.
The room's door clicked and a sleepy Anika came out to make herself some tea. She had slept late. She was greeted by egg's smell from the kitchen.
She tried opening her sleepy eyes wide as she reached the dining table. She saw him walk towards the table from the kitchen as he wished a cheerful good morning.
"Good morning " she yawned as she dragged the chair to sit. Shivaay stared at her...how could she be so lazy after getting up. !
"Give me 5 mins .!" With that she put her head on the table to doze off. He looked at her wide-eyed. She was snoozing on dinning table..! He quickly disappeared into the kitchen.
He re-entered with a tray in hand "Anika utho... maine breakfast already bana liya hai.!" He said placing a plate.
Anika looked up still sleepy, "Huh...egg toast..main Anda nahi khaati..!"
"Whats with Anda...so..".he cursed under his breath. "Its FRENCH TOAST...wo...mere liye hai ..tumhare liye...Its cheese chocolate sandwich." He said placing the plate before her.
She sat up her head leaning on her palm. "Hmm...ab aapne bana liya hai toh main khaa lungi..!" she said eyeing her favourite sandwich.
He smiled at her cute antics. She behaved like a ten year old stubborn girl. "Haan please khaa lo...warna waste ho jaayega.." he mocked smirking. She chose to ignore the comment and eat. "Arey wo chai..chai kahan hai..?"
He was about to sit and he looked up..his eyebrow raised."main tumhara chef hoon kya...jo aise order kar rahi ho..!"
"Please "she said making a puppy face.
The trick worked he was half convinced.
"Lekar aa raha hoon..next time khud le lena...samjhi..!"
She made cute face expressions saying okay. As soon as he turned she stuck out her tongue and made faces and moved her elbows dancing, she made the great SSO get tea for her.! She was so lost in her victory dance that she failed to notice his green eyes that watched her with mirth.
In the car:
Anika was fidgeting with bracelet.
Shivaay makes notice-"Spa ke liye itni tensed...don't worry..maine wo package change karwa liya hai to singles...tum itni tension kyun le rahi ho.."
Anika-"Wo spa mein log destress hone jaate hain naa ..aur mere paas stress toh thaa nahi isliye stress le rahi hoon..she completed, he chuckled at her stupid bizarre explanation.
Anika was still unsure about her decision as they walked into the lobby of the lavish spa filled with rose and jasmine aromas. What if she was given a male massager as they showed on those travel channels.? She wondered. She was so lost in her musings that she dint realise when Shivaay had pulled her aside into an isolated corner.
Anika- "kya... " he covered her mouth "..shh.." he whispered. Anika blinked her eyes in a yes and he removed his hand and pointed towards a couple at the reception. Anika tried to recollect where she had seen the lady.
Shivaay-"Main nahi chatha ki wo mujhe dehke..shh..!" He moved closer to her. Their bodies alost pasted.
Anika-"maine isse kahin dehka hai..!"
shivaay-"my ex-fiancee..Tia.."
Anika-"O haan.."
shivaay-"Shh.."
He turned his face towards her closing in the distance between them. Anika was lost in eyes at once. Anyone who saw them would have mistaken, for what they were doing in the corner. Shivaay was mentally very much present there noticing Tia and the man with her Rana.! through the corner of his eyes But was also paying equal amount of attention to the girl right next to him who he figured out was lost.
They passed by them, shivaay let out a sigh and turned to Anika taking a step behind. She was brought to her senses by his movement. But he had already lost himself in her. Her back still against the wall and he was still close enough.
A couple passed by and happened to notice them staring at each other. The girl excitedly told her husband "dehko..how romantic...dehk ke hi pata chalta hai wo kitna pyaar karta hai apni wife se..aur ek tum ho..!"
She was loud enough to bring them out of their stupor. Embarrassed they moved apart. The guy dragged his wife out. Shivaay pointed towards the direction of the reception and started moving. She tailed behind him. They were directed to the waiting room. As they walked down the lavishly decorated carpeted passage, Anika notice a few girls walking across towards the in-house pool in swimsuits which scarcely covered their assets. She stared wide eyed. Shivaay was walking a little behind her. As she turned her gaze ahead, a man happened to bump into her. He immediately held her arm preventing her from loosing her balance. Shivaay watched the scene with gritting teeth. She immediately shoved his hand away, as he gave a flirtatious smile.. "You Okay Miss?"
She sure could read how purposeful the scene was, not wanting to create a scene in front of all she said in a cool manner "Yes...plz look where you walk..!"
The flirtatious smile was replaced by a sheepish forced smile on the man's face, while an impressed Shivaay gave a million dollar smile.
As they sat waiting, an attender woman came by and took Anika along. Anika looked at Shivaay and then forcing a formal smile went away for her first spa session.
As the lady attended to Anika she spoke.." Ma'am your Boyfriend is really very caring, he told me again and again..to take care as it was your first time."
Anika swallowed her cheeks turning pinkish, "He is not my boyfriend...he is just a good friend..!"
Oh okay the lady giggled as she focussed on massaging her head. As Anika lay for her back massage she wondered about Shivaay, was one of those lean beauticians giving him a massage like they showed in those travel channels ? She cursed herself for those thoughts, why was she bothering so much, couldn't she just mind her business.
It was after three long hours that she was done with her spa treatment and beauty session.
She stepped out of the room more than comfortable being back in her clothes. It had sure been an adventurous first time she said jerking her neck. Her eyes looking out for him she walked back to the waiting lobby.
Shivaay ended the call and turned, he saw her moving towards the couch. He noticed the small changes, her hair trimmed, her hands manicured and her nails now adorned a bright red nail paint, her face glowed and her eyes gleamed probably a result of continual search for him. He walked up to her "Shall we move..?"
"Hmm" she nodded slightly.
As soon as they stepped out and moved down the lane towards their parked car, a shrill voice made them stop. "Shivaay..!"
Without turning Shivaay let out "Mallika..?" She looked around clueless. As soon a they turned to face the source of sound, two lean arms flung around Shivaay.
"O.M.G...eee...Shivaay..!"
He smiled and placed a hand at her waist. The girl broke apart holding both his hands in hers. "Oh my God ..I don't believe this...Shivaay..." and she hugs him again and an amused Shivaay looks on at a silly her.
"Mallika relax its me..!"
Only then Mallika calms down her excitement and looks at a gaping Anika. Shivaay introduces her.." Mallika meet my friend and my new business partner Anika.."
Looking at Anika.. "Anika this is Mallika Mehra Thakkar my..." he was cut off.
Mallika-"Shivaay ki ex girlfriend and now a very close friend.." she completes extending her hand.
Anika shakes her hand.
Mallika-"So yahan kaise...?"
Shivaay-"Woh business meeting ke liye aaye thee..." He lies. Anika stares at him.
Mallika-"Spa mein..?" Raising her eyebrows.
Shivaay grinning -"Of course not...hotel mein he says point to the Hotel beside the Spa."
Mallika smiles stupidly-"Silly Me.."
Shivaay-"Tum yahan kaise..?"
Mallika-"kal hi mumbai mein land kiya... ek business contract thaa... kal back to London."
Shivaay-"tum yMumbai mein ho...
Mallika-"I m sorry shivaay..i know mujhe sab se pehle tumhe inform karna chaiye thaa...wo maine nahi kiya...wo actually I wasn't aware about your whereabouts after ..." she stops speaking looking at Anika wondering whether she could speak further. Anika sensed it and was about to give them space and walk away when Shivaay spoke up.
Shivaay-"Its alright Anika is a very good friend..." he sees her. She sees him. He focuses his attention Back to Mallika.
Mallika holds his hand-"Was very sorry to hear about it."
Shivaay with great courage-"Its its..fine..!"
Anika felt the pain in his voice.
Mallika-"Par aaj ki shaam milte hain bahut time hogaya ...tumhare saath time spend kiye...lets hit the disc tonight. Please...have missed you so much...please say yes" she said holding his hands.
Anika watches, registering the situation for some reason she did not like it...what she dint like even she was unaware.
Shivaay-"No..."
Mallika-"Please itne dino ke baad maine tumse kuch maang rahi hoon..please Shivaay. Beside Anika...why don't u join us..more the merrier."
Anika-"Maine kaise..aap dono ke saath.."
Mallika-"Oh come on Anika..now we are friends so plz no formality n all haan..!"
Shivaay plz say a yes...then I will be flying to London tomorrow..phir pata nahi kab milenge..!"
Shivaay had to give in to her pleads-"Okay..maine aur Anika tumhein aaj shaam join karenge...you pick the place."
Anika stares at him, he had said a yes for her too.
Mallika -"ye...chalo then meet u guys tonight..! Bye" She leaves after exchanging mobile numbers with Shivaay.
Shivaay-"Chale..?"
"Hmm" Anika nodded.
The entire way, Anika was unusually quiet. While Shivaay occasionally spoke about Mallika much to Anika's annoyance. She was herself confused at her sudden annoyance.
When they reached the apartment, Anika sat down on the sofa. Shivaay now noticed her changed behaviour.
"So how was your first Spa session..?"
Anika blankly-"theek thaa..
Shivaay-"bas theek thaa...for me it was amazing ...the need of the hour...waise anika u alright..?"
Anika-"hmmm.."
Shivaay-"Tumhare behaviour se toh nahi lag raha..!"
Anika finally looked up to meet his eyes-"haann kyunki mujhe bilkul mazaa nagi aaya...
Shivaay raises his eyebrow, seemed that she was on fire.
Anika-"Gardan dard alag ho rahi hai..." she said holding the left side of her neck.
"Aur aapko kya jarurat thii mere taraf se disco ke liye haan kehne ki...main aisi waisi jagah nahi jaati.." she said with an annoyed face.
Shivaay now understood her behaviour. So this disco thing had been troubling her.
Shivaay walked up to a drawer held sonething in hand and sat beside her.- "Anika...maine kaha thaa naa ek din mere style se reh ke dehko..its different i understand..but tum hi kehti ho naa new things try karni chaiye...so there's always a first time."
Anika-"Seriously...aisi cheezein.."
Shivaay-"look its not like u understand...trust me give it a try...bahut maza aata hai...there is loud music, dimmed lights and you dance. And I know you are not a bad dancer."
Anika-"Okay...Sirf once..!" she was about to get up
Shivaay-"wait..ye balm laga lo.. your neck will be better.
Anika-"Nahi its fine."
He holds her hand and stops her from leaving. He gently places his fingers on her neck.."Yahan..?"
She nods looking in his eyes.
He gently rubs. She felt current run down her spine. These new feelings were driving her crazy. She just did not know how to handle them.
"Done.! Bahut ziddi ho tum..!" he exclaimed with a playful tone in voice.
She smiles-"Thank you."
He holds her hand yet again she looks back "Kisi ne kaha thaa...dosti mein no thank you no sorry..." he giggles.
She laughs. " okay bye" she gets her hand out of her hold and disappears into the room fearing that her heated face might be in flames if she stood there with him any longer.
As she disappeared he grinned widely rubbing the back of his hair with his hand. He was brought out of his thoughts by his phone's ring. Seeing the caller id his face changed into a serious one.
