I will suggest you to read the manga then watching the anime version...manga is way better then the anime..

I've seen a few episodes and I usually prefer anime over manga.

Have you read fairytail? How many manga books are there or parts so far?

it's still on going manga..and m still reading it...Anime is not that good...yes manga in the beginning not that good and the art is really bad but later it turn really good...and Anime has lot's of promotion and filler episode..and don't follow the actual story much...

I've noticed that, it jumps from one episode to another without resolution.

WATCH IT.

which arc are you up to? If its the beginning then makes sense, towards middle it gets very interesting and its worth it. Try it out.
