Parul cries, faints during marriage sequence

Parul Chauhan, who plays Ragini in Babul Ka Sapna Bidaai, cried on the sets while shooting for the marriage scene in the show. That's not all. Parul also fainted on the sets because of the heavy costume and jewellery she was wearing.

About her emotional scene, Parul says, "My character in the show is of a girl who is very quiet and aware that she is not good looking. However, during the marriage, when her in laws insult her parents she cannot tolerate this and immediately asks them to stop it bursting into tears."

Before the shoot started the entire sequence was explained to her by the director (Rajan) in 15 minutes. Reveals Parul, "He told me to imagine that I am getting married and my in laws are insulting my parents in real life. I actually did that and was in tears without using glycerin."

The actress ended up receiving many compliments. "When I finished this shot, everyone told me that I have put my heart and soul into the scene. In fact I am receiving compliments from the channel as well. Those 15 minutes made a huge impact on me. The other thing which made me cry was the back ground music," she says.

Parul did admit that it was a tough job to shoot wearing the heavy costume and jewellery. "We were shooting for the wedding sequence for 6 days continuously and I had to wear the entire jewellery and costume at least 15 times. The dupatta which I was carrying was very heavy. I think it must have been of at least 2 kgs so it was much difficult for me to balance that on my head. I was so scared that when I fainted I called my on screen parents screaming maa - babuji I am falling please hold me."

She further narrates, "When I fell down everyone immediately rushed towards me. Utkarshaji, who is playing my mother in law, gave me ginger and salt. Then the unit members came with fans and asked me if I wanted to leave. But I only told tem that I don't want to wear that heavy costume and jewellery again."

Parul generally avoids using glycerin for such scenes as she feels if tears come naturally it makes a better impact. Meanwhile, a huge twist is expected in the coming episodes.
