I think because BB creatives had given Salman a script to read and bash Bani for breaking the rules so they can justify why her captaincy was taken away. They wanted to save their ass because they had let Om's behaviour get out of hand.
I don't think Bani is a fixed winner. She receives no preferential treatment, she gets bashed A LOT.
I think Salman personally supported Bani but had to go by the BB creatives decision.
Manveer seems liked a fixed winner.
I think it is best Bani does not win the show. Her image has already been portrayed in the bad light, even if she tries to do any damage control people say she is playing her game.
She has been peed on, insulted by Om by saying he his her father blah blah.
She keeps getting embroiled in this filth unnecessarily.

Also, this report could be wrong. How can Salman have a candid conversation with her? Wasn't there an audience watching the WKW episode being filmed?

I have decided not to trust any thing which is not shown on the show. Just yesterday, there was a news doing rounds that Salman will 'EXPOSE' Mannu tonight. What happened in the episode could not be categorized as expose. It was just a confrontation which happens every WKW episode so there is no use of wasting time and thoughts over such unverifiable rumors.
