In my opinion tucking or pushing hair from the face would have been less intimate than what this 'Bandha' did. Touching a girls hair and somehow managing to also hold her ear and play with it, even for a few seconds like he did, is way too intimate.
Both are very very sensitive to a woman and I may be wrong. Touching a woman's hair is getting way too intimate because it is a pretty sensuous move and so is playing with her ear.
He is going to start getting very hot under his collar very soon if he continues down this path. She is now sleeping in his room as well so aur bhi intimacy ke chances.

Annika was not breathing heavily or trying to walk away this time - she was truly mesmerized because he turned on his true affection 'full blast'.
