Love is based on efforts. Nah!!
Love is based on need. Saanjh took years to explain Arjun that his mother is correct but it took only one moment for Maya to make him understand. It was not the explanation of Saanjh that was inadequate, but Arjun's "nazriya" of taking everything granted from Saanjh. Saanjh with so much hurdles planned the journey to Mauritius and to underwater for Arjun while it was so easy and comfortable for Maya. Saanjh gave Arjun love, care, efforts to always make him happy but Maya gave everything that Arjun needed, job, luxuries.
For example your friend really loves one thing. All your life you do hardwork to give that thing to your friend but then someone comes and gives that thing to your friend in seconds and he just stops concentrating on you and goes with his latest friend who gave him that thing. That is love based on need which Arjun is doing. And the love based on efforts is what Saanjh did always.
True love isn't about having that person from the moment you fall for him. True love is more than that. It is being well-wisher for your love, and from far praying for him and wishing his happiness. Saanjh did gestures to make Arjun happy while Maya did all these ehsan to get Arjun. The day Maya fell in love with Arjun she wanted Arjun as hers only while Saanjh loved Arjun since so many years yet never wanted him to become hers only. That's why she never even confessed to Arjun because her main motive was not to get Arjun but love him selflessly. Love is not just about coupling with the other, but its to see them happy even if he is not yours. That's the uniqueness of unrequited love.
There are people who argue Saanjh was not brave enough to confess to Arjun. It's not easy! Its not even about losing the friendship, it's about that embarrasment you have to encounter by one fine day telling your forever bestie "Hey I like you" you obviously feel so embarrassed telling them and expecting what kind of reply he will give you in return.
Arjun and Maya are hotness. They have a spark which no one can have. When I see them I forget the rest of the world and only dwelve in their island. However, love is not just based on spark, its based on much deeper things which I hope Arjun feels for Maya later on.
Forget Saanjh and how she is coming between the main lead couple but remember once in your life you must have got in this similar situation, not necessarily only loving yoir partner but any relation which was only from your side and never theirs and remember how hard it would have been seeing them dejecting all your feelings, all your efforts.
One sided love- a destination which you can't finish. When cupid just hits one of you. A situation where you give your everything to that one person and guess what, that one person never needed it anyway. That ache in your heart that remains scarred forever with a mark of not getting the one you loved the most. But there you are gulping your tears, showing fake smile to them to tell them you are happy for them. It's not easy how it looks.
Yes that's how it's for Poor Saanjh.
