First thing Anika isn't a doormat
Its the normal doormat bahus who act angry post a dhoka waali or forced marriage
she was an orphan, having a family is big thing
she didn't stand back for Shivaay as such..she stood back for her love, which she didn't consider weak
even such happenings couldn't literally break her
As of now, he is the only one on whom she has legal haq

Shivaay uses power to conquer things
he used to either give a kimat or he used money & muscle power to get something
what did with Anika is really wrong but he is paying...and is gonna pay hard!

But among the three brothers, who is more reliable..
Omkara is good looks, shayaris & insaniyat...but you'll end up being shradda kapoor of ashiqui 2
drugs, depression & running away from problems
Shivaay, best son, best brother, best waaris soon to be best husband
but uski way of handling things...aur selective dumbness
Rudra...hoping aap best hogi, abh tho bacha hai..

Actually they intially act angry & depressed, after sometime they become adarsh bahu..

After once doing a criminal act however good you become later you aren't a good husband n what Shivaaaye did was a proper criminal act for which you could get a punishment for 3years imprisonment. A physically abusive husband can be anything but a good husband material

And about Anika she did exactly the same behaved as an independent girl who doesn't need anyone n then the moment got married forgot about her self esteem. Even before Shivaaaye said a word she was heading towards the Dias while Shivaaaye was announcing his wife's name.

Got happy when Shivaaaye gifted her something (later revealed to be the divorce papers n then even cried- she had tears in her eyes).

This is what a doormat heroine does. Waiting for the husband's acceptance (if you say about having a family she could very well be a part of the family even after maintaining distance from her so called husband till he repented n did something for apology

P.S. this doesn't mean Omkara is a good would be husband. He is about equally not marriage material as Shivaaaye. Someone who doesn't want to commit but have a live in relation. Someone who has a drug past n can relaplse into it at any given time someone who doesn't have the basic manner to respect his own father (I know what his father was wrong but still you can't be that disrespectful towards your father). I know he hasn't physically abused anyone till date but I think he would do it too once his girl enters

Rudra is a playboy n cassanova. No decent girl would like to marry such a guy

In short none of the Obbros are a marriage material

Yes... If we and creatives analyze this series realistically and practically, None of the OBros are marriage material and Neither are any of the FLs representing 'US'... Yeah you might relate to some of their characteristics but they and these tracks are very unreal... Also, after watching all episodes for the past 6 months, it does not look like they are making any attempts to promote #nayisoch except in the promos.. So, for us the best thing to do would be enjoy IB as a sitcom(at least that is how I see IB now 😆.. )

Yes, do criticize these characters when they do something wrong to increase awareness OR constructively criticize the creatives when they butcher their own characters.. Also, Do praise the CVs and the actors when the amaze you & the characters - when they evolve and surprise you 😊

But please don't expect this series to bring about some revolutionary change(#nayisoch) in the TV industry.. 😊 Hopefully there is some series in the near future which would bring about the change we are looking for but IB ain't it.. 😆

I did not even commented abt any character or sumthn shown in d show. I Only commented on how she is writing d wrong meaning of doormat. Acc. to TM, a girl angry on her tormentor n fighting back is a doormat. Seriously? So acc. to TM, d women who fight against injystice done by their spouses r dooemats. In her last post, TM ridiculed d concept of self-respect calling it wrong. She can write abt characters but widout giving wrong meaning of some words just to justify her favourite characters.

Morover its very difficult to shoot at two places with such high budget..

I did not talked abt d show but real life. Cuz in ur post by writing dat line u said in general dat all normal doormat bahus get angry n fights back. U may have said abt d show but d way I write looks like u r generalizing abt how doormat r in real life.
