That night Maan was not able to sleep , his conversation with Sara made him revisit his painful past subconsciously. His past in the form of dreams started haunting him , and he started blabbing in his dreams ,"No please , let me go , please I will be good , please don't hurt me ...," he was blabbing continuously when Geet tried to wake him up , "Maan what is wrong wake up ...wake up ", she tried to wake him up but no use . Geet got worried seeing him like this covered in sweat his hands and feet turning cold, she tried again , this time she succeeded , Maan was woke up with a jerk and hugged Geet tightly,"Sara, please help me, I will be good. Please tell them not to hurt me please, its paining , please don't ...". He was sobbing badly, Geet was shocked to see him in such a state, she tried again, "Maan , what happened , its me Geet, you are in your house , you must have had a bad dream , its okay , please calm down". After a while he regained his senses, he looked around to find himself in his home with Geet looking worriedly at him . "Are you alright , you were blabbing in your sleep ... I was worried ", she asked him out of concern . Maan regained his composure and nodded ,"I am fine ". She nodded and went to her bed . He for once was happy that someone was concerned for him . He mentally thanked Geet . He looked at her feet which he bandaged when she was asleep she was still limping but still was concerned for him that made him happy
.After finding her asleep, he lifted her up and put her on the couch, he touched her feet softly kissing it. He went back to sleep , now knowing hes not alone.
The morning Geet woke up to find herself on a couch. She was not getting anything of his behavior. She went out only to see the breakfast cooked and him talking to someone on the phone , he looked at her and resumed his conversation. He started packing up his things to leave for office , she decided to ask him again , "Why do u intend to hurt me , what has it got to do with my deceased father please tell me ", on getting no answer she looked up to him only to find him enraged .
" I am not answerable to you , now do your chores or have you forgotten your last night's lesson ", saying this he left . On reaching the office , he found a visitor there , none other than Geet's brother Gaurav. He threw some photographs on his face as soon as he entered his cabin , "How dare you cheat on my sister ?", he roared . Maan looked down at the photographs only to see that it was of the time when that Alisha hugged him forcefully . The photographs he was having were morphed carefully that it looked indecent but he did not wanted to give any explanation for this to her brother.He smirked , "Lying and cheating are your virtues not mine , and really if you were so much worried about your sister you would not have sold her to me just for saving your falling empire ." Gaurav was stunned to hear his reply ,'How did he know , was the only thing that came to his mind then he understood it was all his plan .
"You tricked me , but why ", he asked . "Well you should know that better and for your sister you lost your rights on her the day you married her to me so kindly leave ", saying this he resumed his work . "What are your intentions , I am taking my sister back right now ," at this Maan got enraged and he glared at him icily . "Dare you try to take away Geet from me , she's mine till eternity , I won't let anyone take her and if you try you will face the worst ", he declared .
"You said you loved her was it a lie", Gaurav asked. "I love her more than my life and I trust her too far more than you did", He answered making Gaurav feel ashamed. "I ...I tr..tried to", He tried again but was interrupted by Maan, "Save her you mean, how marrying her to a complete stranger just because he was sitting close to her. Really Mr Gaurav Handa , you are such a liar, you only did that to save that company , you value your business more than your only sister. A brother is meant to protect his sister but ...so kindly leave, before you waste more of your time or mine", Maan spoke harshly insulting him. Gaurav was sure he has married his beloved sister to a dangerous man and he has to save her . Thinking of finding a way he left from there .
Geet was really confused of his behavior, so she called her cousin Ria , she picked up in one ring ,they were more close than real siblings, their families were close too .
"Hi Geet , how are you , you have forgotten me after your marriage right , not once you called ", she complained . Geet started sobbing which made Ria alert she asked her ,"Why are you crying dear , what happened , anything wrong ?"."He does not love me Ria , it was all a pretense", she sobbed ."What are you saying Geet, any person can tell your husband loves you ", Ria said. "No he does not its all a show , he tortures me ", she sobbed ,"Please take me away from here , I don't want to live here anymore ." Ria was listening patiently and again tried to calm down her friend ,"Geet marital quarrels happen but that don't mean dear you leave your house ", she reasoned .
"No Ria you are not getting it he has married me for some revenge he keeps saying my dad did something to his family which ruined him , I have no idea please do something", Geet cried."Listen Geet you once told me you loved him and wanted to marry him now you are married to him , and from what I have seen he does loves you but hes fighting his conflicting emotions from what you telling me , I will try to find out and if it is something wrong I will get you out , trust me ", Ria consoled her friend . "Alright I will wait for your call then , I trust you Ria ", Geet said."Now that is like my Geet , don't worry I will call you in two hours ", assured Ria. Geet kept the phone and waited patiently . On the other hand Ria was thinking hard she knew that Maan loved her friend but his behavior was not what a man who loved someone will do so she got on the job to find out more about him .
Ria called her mother to know more about Maan . Her mother, Lyla, was a businesswoman with a lot of contacts .She was surprised when her daughter asked her bout Maan . "What interest do you have in that man my dear, I hope you are not going for him ", she inquired from her daughter. Ria told everything about him being Geet's husband and all . Lyla screamed over the phone , "No , this can not be , you should get her away from him I heard he was almost forced by an elder woman when he was young but he escaped after that he did got into bad company to rebuilt the lost empire his father left . His father lost his fortune and he was dead in a drunk driven case and his mother followed soon after . He only has his father's close friend Ayesha who has filled crap in his mind .Some say she was the one who sold him to that older woman from whom he had a narrow escape . "
"But why is he torturing Geet , he said her father ruined him but uncle was a really nice man ,right mom ?", Ria asked."Yes he was but Maan has been manipulated into thinking that he was behind everything including his father's lost fortune ,"said Lyla. "Mother do you have anything by which Geet's dad could be proved innocent I can't see my friend suffering and I won't blame Maan , I know he loves her but the crap filled in his head has made him behave in this manner", Ria asked."Are you out of your mind get her out of there hes not right ", said Lyla enraged . But Ria knew better , she knew both love each other and just this tiny misunderstanding need to be sorted out .
She called Geet and asked her the address of her house . As soon as Ria reached there ,Geet just jumped in her arms and started sobbing .She calmed her down then recited everything her mother told her .Geet was in tears hearing about his misery . "I can't believe he faced so much at such a tender age", She sobbed hearing her husband's misery.
"Geet here are some papers, I got from my contacts, it has all the proof you want. I found another interesting fact, uncle and his dad were best friends, so what happened that led to this you need to find out by yourself, so what is your decision", Ria asked. "I won't leave him to suffer alone this time ", she said determinedly. "Now thats like my strong friend ,here take these proofs to show him and be happy now , "chirped her friend , happy that now her friend will be happy .

I was going to give the latter part in the next update but added here so that I could finish it in some lesser parts than I originally planned 😊
One more thing I would say , Geet won't be a crybaby here forever, I don't intend to make my Geets crybabies , if anyone who has read my first fic will know that , so please wait for her character development 😃
