This is the kind of truth that takes time to sink in and the pain is for a long time. She did break down more than once. - in the hall where the vase broke and again in their room. Yes she did talk about how Ishwari would take it as that was she n the top of their head at that time.
But once it is known to Ishwari the real breakdown of Sonakshi starts. It is like a slow and painful death where you lose a little bit of yourself everyday. We will see Sonakshi breaking little by little every time someone taunts or says something harsh to her.
This slow death is what will make Dev speak and stand up for her. He won't be able to tolerate the crap that is dished out to her. He cannot see Sonakshi in pain. We will see the Dev we always wanted to see in the upcoming days.
