PART 13

Ishita had gone home for few days, and was returning back with things not only for herself but for her best friend Raman too. After settling her stuff in her room, taking a quick shower she headed to Raman apartment to hand over his favorite delicacies made by Amma.

Raman stayed in 1 BHK apartment near their college. He preferred to stay separate instead of hostel or PG, not only because he could afford a separate apartment for himself moreover he was a private person.
She always had an extra key of his house and as her habit she entered his room without knocking.

His whole room was messed up and he was sleeping in middle of bed hugging a small pillow completely unaffected. Automatically a smile crept on her face seeing him peacefully sleeping at the same time her naughty mind got activated.

She silently kept bags on side sofa and moved towards him.

Half an hour later he finally woke up hearing some noises in kitchen.

Raman came out rubbing is eyes - Aa gayi tu

Ishita looked at him, smiling inside sipped her coffee - Hmm

He took a deep breathe - Amma Ka paisam. I could smell it where is it.

Ishita - Kutta chap naak.

He made a dirty face and opened refrigerator behind her. Taking out a bowl he was about to eat when she snatched it from him.

Ishita - Raman Jungli. Go and brush first. You can eat it later I won't finish it alone. This whole bowl is for you only.

Raman - Dentist kahi ki. He turned to go inside blabbering to himself. Ishita kept the bowl inside and was enjoying her coffee and as expected she heard him shouting inside.

He came out shouting - Ishita ki bachi tujhe nahi chodunga. I won't leave you today.

She started running giggling around whole house with him behind her.

Ishita - First catch me Raavan kumar

Raman - Raavan abhi batata hoon.

He took two quick step and pinned her between him and wall. He held her hands behind her.

Raman - Ab bol

Ishita - Raman Masti todi si. You were sleeping peacefully and how could I leave that chance.

Raman - And you made my moustache and beard with sketch pen. Come on Ishita grow up.

Ishita - Sorry baba . Bola na thodi si masti. Last time pakka

He left her hand - I know your last time

He started moving inside to clean his face shaking his head at her antics speaking to himself- I pity your future husband. Bechara

Ishita narrowed her brows - Kuch kahan

Raman - Kuch nahi meri maa. Coffee bana de

Ishita - Raman

Raman - Kya at least let me wash my face

Ishita curled her lips inside- Can I have one selfie with you. Sirf ek

Raman glared at her trying to show anger while she just smiled took out her cellphone- Raman you know I am not scared of you so don't even try. Now smile

Shaking his head Raman as per her demand let her have a picture.

PRESENT DAY

Raman was holding the same picture smiling remembering the time they spend together while on the other side a tear escaped her eyes, it's been almost 5 days which seems like a month, she has not seen him.

On one side she was miserable, his situation was not less. Last few days had created an unknown void in his life. He has very well accepted his feeling for her but at the same time this did not change the fact that it was not mutual. Girl with whom he has fallen in love is getting engaged tomorrow.

He was lost in is thoughts when his chain of thoughts was broken by his phone ring.

Raman - Hello

Abhimanyu - Hey Raman! Where are you

Raman - Hi Abhi Actually, I got stuck with some urgent work so couldn't reach on time.

Abhi- I don't wanna hear anything. You are coming here by night.

Raman - Abhi woh

Abhi- I said I don't wanna hear anything. I want you hear today else... else I won't marry your best friend. Can't you do this much for your friend. Sochlo Ishita ki khushi ke liye.

Raman - Ishita ki khushi ke liye... I will come

Abhimanyu - Great then. See you soon

He disconnected -Trust me Raman it's not only for Ishita but for your happiness too.

NEXT DAY

Ishita was sitting in her room closing her eyes totally ready, she was looking perfect but the only thing missing was the glow of happiness from her face.

Thats when someone came from behind closing her eyes with her tiny hands.

Ishita smiled a little - Maine pehchaan liya meri princess ko

Ruhi settled herself in her lap hugging - I missed you aunty

Tears made way in both eyes - I missed you too beta

Composing herself , wiping her and ruhi tears, she kissed her forehead - Kaisa hai mera bacha.

Ruhi - I am fine she spoke slowly and again hugged her.

Ishita was caressing her back patting her head when Toshiji entered room with a man whom her eyes her craving to see.

She stood up and touched Toshiji foot - Namaste aunty

Toshiji - Jeti reh puttar. Bahut sundar lag rahi hai

Her eyes then shifted to Raman whose eyes were also fixed on her. Teary eyed they looked at each other without blinking.

As if understanding their hearts Toshiji took Ruhi out along with her. It was the last chance which could lead to something positive. Maybe they just needed to talk and god will take care of rest.

Ishita - Kaise Ho

He smiled weakly - I am fine . Tum kaise ho . Bahut khobsurat lag rahi ho

Ishita was about to reply when Abi entered disturbing there talk - Hey Raman You came . Chalo engagement ka time ho gaya.

Amma came from behind and took Ishita along with her. Minutes later, Abhi and Ishita were standing in the center of hall while Raman ruhi along with toshiji were standing besides them.

Soon Panditji chanted some mantras, after doing pooja he handover rings to Amma to give it to boy and girl. Ishita eyes were still fixed on Raman whose eyes were also reflecting the same.

Abhi took his ring from Amma and was waiting for Ishita to extend her hand to him.

Amma- Haath badao Ishu.

Panditji - Mahurat nikal raha hai

She was still looking at him when Amma shook her a little - Haath badao Ishu . Abhi is waiting.

She nodded her head but her heart was not permitting her. She was still standing there when Abhi himself took her hand. She closed her eyes expecting him to make her wear his ring. That's when she realized Abhi was pulling her somewhere. She immediately opened her eyes to look at the surrounding.

He dragged her slightly with him and stood next to Raman.

Panditji - Mahurat nikal raha hai. Angoothi pehnaye

Ishita was looking at abhi totally confused about his behavior.

He smiled a little abhi - Mahurrat nikal raha hai Raman. Angoothi pehnao

Ishita - Abhi

Raman - Kya bol rahe ho Abhi

Abhimanyu - Maan gaya tum dono ko. Still you want me to say it. Sach mein pagal ho. Itna pyaar karte ho ek dusre se phir kehte kyun nahi. Even an blind could see that you guys are made for each other. Ishita I always wanted to see love in your eyes which I have in mine. And you know I could see that today but it's not for me.

And Raman sacha pyaar toh ek baar naseeb se milta hai aur tum toh utne khush naseeb ho tumhe yeh khushi dubara naseeb huyi hai and you want to leave this happiness just like that. Tum dono ko dubara pyar naseeb hua hai.

Ishita you have found love again in form of Ruhi. And you are rejecting all this for your amma. Bewakoof ladki, your amma loves you and nothing is more important for her above this.

Mujhe tumhari mom Woh choti bachi ko tumara pyaar nazar aa gaya aur tum dono. Your eyes speak a million then why can't you both admit it. You guys are unbelievable.

Raman what you thought that I have invited you here as a guest. Its your engagement today. Long back I had promised myself that Ishita will get all her happiness which she deserves and it's you and Ruhi who could complete her. Her happiness lies in you my friend.

Jab pehli baar tumhe dekha tha na tabhi samjh gaya tha ki Raman Ishita sirf ek dusre ke liye banne hai.Ismein kisi Abhimanyu ki zaroorat nahi.

Raman smiled with teary eyes and hugged him tight.

Ishita- Amma

Amma - I know everything. Abhi told me all this before. You were doing all this for me. Did you even once thought how would have I faced your appa in heaven. Kanna your happiness matters the most for me.

Ishita hugged her.

Toshiji wiped her tears - Dekh ruhi aj humari family complete ho gayi.

She ran towards Ishita and hugged her legs - Ishita aunty. You will not leave me now we will stay together forever.

Ishita lifted her and kissed her cheeks- Haan bacha now we will remain together forever.

Panditji - Mahurat nikal raha hai

Abhi - Nahi panditji bahut saalon baad yeh shubh mahurat aaya hai. Raman go and get ready I won't let you engage my friend in this attire. And Ishu you also go and do some final touch up. Warna kahi raman aisi surat dekh ke bhaag na jaye.

All smiled when Amma took raman Ishita inside while Toshiji and Ruhi were thankingabhi.

Amma entered room along with Ishita. She gave Raman his clothes and instructed Ishita to come outside after freshen up and understanding the situation she finally gave them much needed privacy.

She left closing the door while Raman Ishita was standing in front of each other.

Raman - Ishita mein... mein woh

Before he could speak further Ishita started hitting him. She was hitting his arms crying.

Raman - Ishita maar kyu rahi ho. Ahh Madrasan have you gone mad.

Ishita - I hate you raman . Meri shaadi ho jati toh. You idiot

She was still hitting him when he held her hands and pulled her towards him , taking her in his arms.

She was still cursing him trying to free herself crying.

Raman - But I love you. Jhansi ki rani I love you.

Her heart skipped a beat hearing that, her ears were craving to hear this from years, she stopped - What did you say

Raman smiled - I love you Madrassan

She hugged him - But I only love my Ruhi, not his father.

Raman smiled fully hearing that stayed in that position.

Raman - I love you Ishita

Ishita - I love you too

He wiped her tears - I love you bolne se pehle dhunai kardi. Puri zindagi bhar kya hoga. Main toh gaya kaam se. Phasa liya mujhe

Ishita - Aadat daal lo. Now you have bear me forever

raman - Baap re ! Theek hai toh engagement cancel

Ishita - Dont you dare warna

She extended her hands towards his neck strangling him slightly while he hugged her again.

Raman - Never. I will never leave you my mad Madrassan...
