Buddha was born in 6 th Century BCE also Mahavir both in same age...[ though they never meet ]
For this Historicity of these Epics are must be discussed first...see, i am Logical more than emotional thinker.
I love my culture most still I always say that I am not Right or Left winger.For me Ram and Krishna are never issue to love if they are fictional also...They are my cultural existence and they are living constantly from last 2500-3000 years minimum in Crores people heart and mind.India is nothing without them.
I must say...possibility of Mahabharat being Real is higher but not in 3100 BCE around.
Ramayan is written after Mahabharat is possibility ...Mahabharat is silent about Buddhism in India which is very famous in post 1st millennium BCE.
For this...We must go to geographical and cultural chronology. Aryan Invasion Theory [AIT] is proved myth but Aryan Migration Theory [AMT] is still in debate against Out of India [OIT] theory.
The possibility of Indus Valley Civilization [IVC] as Rigvedic Civilization is very less as archaeologically.
Professor B.B.Lal The most respected and experienced Archeologist [ 96 age now ] is on conclusion that Mahabharat must be small war around 1000 BCE [ also some believe in 1400 BCE] in historical Kuru kingdom in Northern India by Painted Gray ware culture...You must visit Wikipedia for more information.
But Jay was first book that made Bharat sanhita and later 1 Lakh shloka of Mahabharat sanhita so...There are multiple stories are added later.
I am on research for this and i knew that many Mythological characters are shaped from Historical peoples who influenced in that period.
Like Rigvedc Vishwamitra and Vashishtha are historical figures but their stories are generated in Ramayan [ Like Vashishtha's 100 sons and killing by Vishwamitra king]
Similarly Kashiraj Devodas then Mithila king Janak are historical but they also played role in literatures like Parikshit and Janmejay are undoubtedly historical
Westerns and Indian left put Starting of Rigved in 1500 BCE very later but IVC was destructed in 1900 BCE only so how can Rigved is older than 2000 BCE ?!!
Rigvedic Saraswati is not mythical river, but historian like Romila Thaper put Helmond river of Afghanistan as historical Saraswati while RSS thinkers believe Ghaghhar Hakra river which is scientifically proved that it dried in 2000 BCE, is as Saraswati.
In Rigved Saraswati was famous and holy river only in later vedic period Ganga came in picture...it is clear that Aryans spread from Pakistani Punjab Haryana North Rajasthan to UP Bihar and Bangal also in Gujarat and central India.
But in Mahabharat it is clearly mentioned that Saraswati was dried and people were shocked !! So how could this it possible ?!
So much contradiction.
