does a bahu/gf always have to be a doormat to be good

i did not know whether to laugh yesterday at the Maya/ Vandana scene or to cry and be like no Maya no. u don't threaten your future mother in law. but then it got me thinking yes its great to be loved by ones future in laws, it makes life easy and who would not want to get along with someone who will be in your life for years. but who actually has in reality the perfect saas bahu relationship that we see on tv? how many of u are Gopi's or will be a gopi? but there are a lot of kokila's and vandana"s around who make life difficult for their dils. and there are a lot of woman who are like Maya(maybe not as harsh or psycho) who show their mils their place and tell them subtle that they should not step on their toes. whats wrong with that?Vandana should not have reacted to Maya the way she did. she did not do anything bad(yet). i do not see Maya if she gets married to arjun staying at his house. she is too independent and psycho to stay with her. i normally dnt do bias post but i just love Maya, jenny is so good as her i have a total girl crush on her lol. her good acting is making Maya too darn likeable.

No bahu can be leader of the house she has her opinion and likes and she should also respect others likes n dislikes. She has to share her husband with fly n frns of husband . She doesn't need tricks n strategy to show that she is ideal , she should be true to her self let them accept her the way she is. IF she has done sum gud deeds n still fly is reluctant to accept her than she can give them space & continue her gud work they will accept her 1 day .

I had totaly forgotten about that scene.. I thinks its better for both arya and saanjh.. In arjun house there will be lot of negativity wth evryone giving maya cold shoulder..and saanjh crying seeing thm together evrytime..

According to me, a DIL need not be a doormat to be good. She should neither oppress others not should be oppressed. Kokila and Vandana fall under the same category as far as getting a DIL is concerned. A DIL needs to balance everything. she has to be submissive without depriving herself of anything. She should know where to draw the line. She should neither be a crybaby like Gopi nor be quarrelsome like Rashi.
