Yes, I like this show so much that nothing really annoys me. But yes, I dont like the parts where they overstretch a simple matter. And since like in real life, a family tends to bring drama into your life - in this show also, it tends to happen.
I dont like why people have given 57 votes against saanjh. That shows how much her character has lost its initial meaning. I thought her character represents a girl who falls in love with her friend and wants to keep this friendship/relation alive for long. But the way writers have lately handled it, they have given it a slight shade of obsession/ownership More like "I have fallen in love with you but don't want to tell you because I might lose my friendship with you, but wait! I won't let you live your life either because I'm so madly in love with you" š. While I do agree with you, I think Saanjh's life revolving around Arjun is just too much to handle hence why she has so many votes. Maybe coz they wanted fans to lean towards Maya's character. Maybe they want to balance positive and negative sides of maya sanjh equally. This is a very good point of view and I'm glad you brought it up š. I think what we're dealing with is Beyhadh Obsession and Beyhadh Possessiveness. While neither is better than the other, they do go hand in hand. When you're obsessed with something, you tend to be possessive of it too. I'm seeing shades of both in this show represented by the two female leads.
And lets forget characters for a minute. If you think them as real life people, then if a girl sees some other obsessive girl is trying to steal away her love, she obviously will try to explain her feelings. And this might be confused with sense of ownership. So, I dont blame it on Saanjh. Maybe she is trying to raise her levels of obsession to match Maya since arjun understands this language only :p But I'm sure in real life the girl isn't as clingy as Saanjh. To the point where she doesn't go to work because she's too busy babying him, takes a stand in her own independent way without needing her mother or her love's mother interfering (I know there are parents but come on, even children know when to be like 'Jeez Mom, would you let me do this?'), or not reading the signs that he wants a platonic relationship with her. I never blamed Saanjh because she has a lot of potential. I blame the moronic writers that have focused so much on Maya that they've completely forgotten then have a male lead and another female lead to develop.
Talking of Maya, her disturbed childhood makes me sad. I hope she gets what she wants without hurting anyone and herself. Ofcourse this means Saanjh will be left hurt. But I think Maya needs arjun more than saanjh. There is nothing wrong in it. She just has to see it. I think it's a mutually agreed upon fact that kisi ek ka dil toh tootna hi hai. Whether it be Maya or Saanjh. It can go either way where in we see Maya checking into a mental asylum with Arjun-Saanjh together, or we could see Maya and Arjun together with Saanjh's blessings...or the writers could totally screw us over and have Arjun elope with Maya's secretary which would set up season 2 as Maya-Saanjh's beyhadh quest for revenge...-shrug-. All I'm saying is that I don't trust these writers one bit. š
