There was a girl named Maya who was brought up in a loveless environment. She also has a troubled childhood. Her father Ashwin and her mom Jhanvi were quarreling daily. Ashwin also has an extra-marital affair with the other lady. He had married Jhanvi only for money. The house belongs to Jhanvi who had made it in Maya's name so Ashwin would not harass them.
Maya could not bear her parents fighting. One day, she hit Ashwin hard to save her mother who had tried to kill her. From then on, Ashwin decided to get rid of Maya.
Days pass by. Jhanvi and Maya are a support to each other.
However, Ashwin does not mend his ways. He continues to torture Maya to the extent that she loses her mental balance. Maya completes her 10th standard with flying colors. She joins a very good college but no effect on Ashwin.
One day, Maya encounters a handsome man named Vinod. She starts finding solace in him. Vinod proposes to Maya who accepts it. Maya's only aim is to get rid of Ashwin's daily tortures. Jhanvi gets her married to Vinod thinking that she will have a blissful life with him.
But the outcome of this marriage turns out to be something else. Vinod keeps Maya in another house as he does not want his wife to know about her.
Maya gets to know about her husband's previous marriage from her reliable sources but she keeps that aside and decides to find it out for herself. Vinod invites everyone for his son's birthday party. He wants to celebrate his birthday without his wife's knowledge and also manipulate Maya saying that it his friend's child.
Maya comes for the party. Unexpectedly, his first wife also comes for that party. When she sees him dancing with Maya, his first wife named Sukanya creates a scene at the party. She drags Vinod to her room. Maya follows them discreetly. She overhears their conversation and gets to know the ugly truth about her husband double-crossing both his wives.
From then on, the friction starts between Vinod and Maya. Vinod starts beating and torturing her on daily basis. Maya gets completely shattered to the extent that she tries to kill herself. However, an unknown person saves her and drops her to Jhanvi's place.
Jhanvi gets shattered to see Maya's mental state and takes her to the psychiatrist. His name is Arjun. He is a very good doctor and has treated many patients. He is unmarried. Arjun examines Maya, trying to know what has happened by hypnotizing her but Maya is too scared to say anything. Arjun gives her a combined treatment of love, tablets and shock treatment to restore her to normal.
After taking the therapies, Maya's condition improves. Arjun then tries to hypnotize her and this time he succeeds. Maya reveals about her childhood and her married life to Arjun. That becomes a police case. The cops arrest Ashwin for torturing the family and his extra-marital affair whereas Vinod gets arrested for bigamy and the tortures that he gave to both the wives. Furthermore, it gets proved in the court that his marriage with Maya is illegal and her marriage gets canceled as it becomes invalid.
Maya recovers. Arjun and Maya fall in love with each other. Maya completes her studies and sets up her empire. Arjun too makes his name. Both of them get married and live happily ever after.
