Leaked! 1st Pics of Shahid & DP from the set of Paddu

On December 20, Shahid Kapoor announced that the first schedule of Padmavati will wrap up that day. All this while we only knew that he is playing Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the film who takes on the mighty Mughal Alauddin Khilji to defend his fort and his honour Rani Padmavati. Deepika Padukone, who plays the titular character, was shooting along with him since a few days. But the looks of the actors had been closely guarded until now. Mumbai Mirror shared two pics from the sets of the film but it was Shahid's garb that got us very interested. He was clicked wearing a sweatshirt over a beige dhoti. Interesting isn't it? A source told the daily, "He has several shirtless sequences in the film and takes off his sweatshirt before the cameras roll". The daily went on to add, "The actor is keen to lend authenticity to his character, would take classes during the day and shoot at night." That explains why he wears the sweatshirt over his garb. He obviously isn't going to flaunt his oh-so-hot body everywhere. Now relax! If you want to drool over his body, go check his instagram account. But this makes us sure of one thing. Padmavati will have ample skin show by the BOYS! *Wink*

Deepika too was part of the shoot, which was the first schedule wrap up that lasted for 39 days. According to the tabloid, she arrived on the sets wearing denims and a top and later, slipped into the royal attire of Rani Padmavati - a heavy cream-and-gold lehenga with metallic jewellery.
