This fear has remained in him from the time of breakup because they never realized the issue at that time as we all know. So everytime some crisis occurs it's his instinct to keep her with him by hook or crook. And he ends up doing horrible wrong. People say he has had no character growth. But last time his mom showed her disapproval what did he do?...he broke up. But this time what he is doing is to strengthen that bond and make his mom love her as much as he does. He knows he won't survive author her. This time there is no question. But obviously he is trying to achieve this in a horrible wrong way.

So what I was thinking did this line refer to only her reaction when she finds out the truth (because obviously he knows the seriousness of the lie he is telling), or was it a hint to future u know with infertility. Does he have it in his consciousness that this love of his mom is fake??

But poor guy yaar... He is so scared. He stands to loose everything here.

I really like this dialogue he loves her so much that he don't want to loose her .

But due all these he don't know what he is doing ..he should tell sona At least so they both start treatment.

Ishwari may not be a great human being(I still refuse to address her as a mother) but she was never unreasonable. On the name of insecurities(obsession) cv's completely destroyed her character. Till now all her mistakes are with the fear of losing dev to Sona and her position and control on dev.

Dev and Sona both are not out of breakup trauma and their fear of losing each other didn't go away since their marriage is result of ishwari's desperate attempts and asha's understanding nature. Either sona's desperate attempts to win ishwari's love or dev's desperate attempts to make ish- Sona bond strong are result of their fear of losing each other. Till they get assure of each other presence in their life they will keep on doing these blunders again and again.

Dev - he is forever haunted by fear of losing sona. there is an on going war between his mind which keeps telling him that his mother has not accepted sona wholeheartedly while his heart tells him to ignore it / turn a blind eye and be happy with what he has. That's why the sudden reaction from to the words " hamari Sona" from his mothers mouth, kya tum meri maa ho kind of question from him.

Sona - she is haunted by the fear of Dev chosing his mother over her. He can leave her for this mother anytime , poor girl , she is constantly living in this baseless fear. the mind is always warning her whereas her heart wants to believe that Dev loves her for eternity.

Ishwari - she is haunted by the fear of losing Dev to sona. Her mind wants her see the goodness of Sona and get rid of her baseless insecurity while the heart forces her to see sona as an opponent who is forever waiting for a chance to usurp Dev from her.
