Befikre Worldwide Less Than 21 Year Old DDLJ

The Worldwide business of Befikre will be less than Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge which was released 21 years ago in 1995. This is even though the rupee was almost half in 1995 and an Overseas gross of of $4.8 million gave just 16.68 crore while a $3.1 million apprx total today is 21 crore. The Gross collections (before entertainment tax) are also below Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge which had a gross figure of 86.49 crore as compare to Befikre which will be around 81 crore. It will beat the Worldwide figures Mohabbatein but again that is because of the change in currency value. The Worldwide figures of the four Aditya Chopra directed films are as follows.

1. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi - 1,57,41,75,000

2. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge - 1,03,17,00,000

3. Befikre- 1,02,00,00,000 (Expected)

4. Mohabbatein - 90,01,05,000

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was the second film in the history of Hindi cinema to cross 100 crore Worlwide. Pre 2000, only three films crossed 100 crore Worldwide and they were Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)

Not sure but heard it's less than Fitoor too...which is a shocker. Considering it's Indian audience that is more hesitant towards this genre.

It was a bad movie so it flopped . Whatever money it made, it's all coz of RS . Vani is a great discovery.
Cheer up RS fans, you have goddamn SLB and Paddu in bag !!

Don't tempt the fate KSK. Ek Bombay Velvet is enough for all the new gen stars combined. Why ask for the same results on RS. He is finally doing good. I hope RS is doing something more than Padma. He needs to do more roles.

If Khans are becoming friends, it is time we new age star fans all learn to do the same. Otherwise 20 years ke baad bhi all the new gen will wait for their turn under the sun. 😊
