There are some movies that you either get it or you don't. It polarizes audience into believing they are watching one of the best or worst movie of their life. There is no middle ground. Tamasha was one such movie in recent times.

Which other movies do you think had that kind of polarizing effect on audience?

I think Rockstar was one of those! People either loved it or hated it...

Speaking from personal experience, it has just been Tamasha. 12 of us friends went to watch it and were very divided on it. I hated it and was annoyed I had wasted my Thanksgiving on that. They acted well but I found the story to be too meandering and clueless to enjoy any aspect of the movie. But some of my friends absolutely lovedd it. Oh well.

ADHM also somewhat gave rise to such reactions. To a much smaller extent though. People were divided over the ending.

Surprisingly Pink (I won't call it the worst) but I totally disliked because I had so much expectations from the film but I couldn't understand!

I thought it was a bad, clich-ridden movie.

Why were the guys politically connected ? Why the victim (Taapse) embodied the "liberated", "occidentalized" indian girl? There was no ambiguity no nuance.
The acting and direction was bad too.

The one movie that i can think of is K3G. It's so overratted and what's funny is that people call this the best family drama. I can name at least 15-20 family drama movies that are miles better than K3G. Frankly, I found the storyline boring and the characters unrealistic.

Dil dhadakne do was one. In my group Some really liked the concept and theme whereas some couldn't make any sense especially to the climax.
